Left my job 2 months back to fully commit and switch to a product based companies and I've used lever, LinkedIn, wellfound, ycombinator but I've found it hard to get things going (interview / round/ offers). Currently I am trying to switch from service based company to better environment hopefully product based companies. Thing here is I am not getting any interview calls (I may blame 90days notice) but how product based companies hire… like i am checking naukari. It’s full of consulting companies mostly or service based companies. LinkedIn I could see some job posts but not actually hearing back  from them(maybe skill issue) . So like from where these product companies hire ??? Anyone know any leads.

I’m a Mobile Application Developer at a startup which is product based and looking to switch in a good product based company. I tried LinkedIn and other hiring platforms but I had no luck.

Looking for referrals in good product based companies

I am working remotely at a SaaS company for 4+ years now. I started working since my final year of engineering. I joined here as a software engineering intern when the product was really new and booming. I have gotten bored of my work now, especially since I have been working from home all the time. I have very little social life. And I am getting fixed salary of about $1400 each month. I am thinking of switching to any Indian startup because I am not happy with my job being so monotonous and less pay at this level of experience. What should be the approach to crack the interviews? I have done DSA practice during my college days, but didn't crack any interviews with it. I am a full stack web developer but it doesn't excite me anymore and I want to stick to backend roles. And is it possible to crack an interview with for 30-40 LPA at this stage? Or do I have to climb up a salary ladder for a couple of years?

Hello all

I work as a software developer at a seed -> acquired startup. Total work ex is around 1.5years. I am looking for a change now. 
Till now I have applied to some bigger companies with referrals and some through job portals, only got one call till now after applying at many of them.

I want to switch gears in my application now as I want to switch as soon as possible. The next step would be cold emailing decent startups. 

Could you guys help me with my approach to cold emailing and share some best practices? I don't have much experience doing cold emails because I've gotten previous jobs either through campus/angellist like sites.

PS: The number of calls/applications is making me a bit anxious
I've tried dropping LinkedIn connect messages to a lot of recruiters and engineering managers but no luck

I am working as an Android developer in service based companies for more than 7 years in Ahmedabad. As there are very few product based companies in Ahmedabad I am planning to relocate to another city to switch to a product based company ofcourse for better compensation. I have applied to many product based companies but I'm not even getting shortlisted for the interviews. There are many other folks in the service based companies who have faced the same thing. Any advice for switching to a product based company would be really helpful.

Switch to product based company.

I am a '21 graduate from a Tier 1 college (old IIT) and have had short stints as product manager at a couple of startups. About a year back, I decided to startup but after a few months, realized that startup idea wasn't worth pursuing. 

Researched around a few startup ideas and finally landed upon a good one in D2C space. But the problem is financing. I don't have much saving and friends / family network wouldn't be able to finance this. I really want to pursue this idea but finance is becoming a hindrance. 

So started looking for job opportunities about 3 months back. I have been exploring work opportunities in product / founder office / EIR roles or other generalist role. 

Job hunt process has been frustrating to say the least. Getting very few calls. In most cases, people are ghosting after couple of rounds of interview or assignment. In some cases, after getting through 2-3 rounds, I got to know that opening has been closed temporarily. Most HRs don't even have the decency to give feedback. 

I don't intend to work in job for long anyway. As soon as I have the job, I plan to start working on my business idea and quit as soon as I have enough financial leeway. 

How should I go about job hunt process? I have been trying to connect with folks on LinkedIn in whose company job openings are there. Apart from this, I have been connecting with founders from recently funded startups. Naukri / Instahyre and IIM Jobs are other portals I have been looking on. Anything I should do differently here?

Just a advice: 
  
 Never do the assignment for any company.This company will ghost you every time after the assignment or will offer lower pay / lower position. 
  
 Companies just try to get ideas via the assignment

My startup doesn't have open positions anymore. If anyone's interested in joining startups, | got around 10 interviews through JunoHQ (Google it for the application link), and 2 gave me offer out of which I chose the more stable one for obvious reasons.
