INDMoney PM interview process
Went through the rigorous PM interview process at INDMoney. Didn't get the final offer because they wanted someone to join immediately.
-
A product assignment related to a INDMoney problem. 2-3 questions, of which one was the entire solution along with the mocks.
-
Once the assignment is short listed the teams evaluate the assignment and your background and someone will interview based on the same. For me it was the chief of staff.
-
The next round is with the CTO. This is going to be intense. Guesstimate, product sense, problem break down etc. 1.5 hrs long call.
-
This round was with the People team. Trying to understand culture fit.
-
This is to be the final technical round with the director of the product. Product sense and strategy questions.
Tips: make sure you have your basics covered with PM interview stuff and also have a very good explanation for things mentioned in your resume. They will grill you and check if you are ready to hustle.

Mine was similar. Intense and they made me research 1-2 Indmoney features and took 2 rounds purely on it. I gave 3 rounds, 1 with the CEO, CTO & Product head. Didnt get through apparently because the position was not open anymore. It felt like they only wanted someone to research their product and provide feedback rather than actual hiring requirement. Lame

They only interview to take feedback, jo real opening.

Is this a fact ?

What was the offer and for how many yow?

Yoe

Didn't get an offer, but expectations were around 29-35L. For a total of 6.5 years of which 2.5 in product.

Indmoney is known to ask and research get feedback on their products only. They will interview even if they don't have any open positions. I have heard this story from other Fintech PMs in gurgaon too, this is their pattern, not a one off thing with some of you.

If they were looking for someone to join immediately and still interviewed you knowing your notice period. That's a red flag in my opinion. Why waste a candidate's time?
Also, post the HR round, conducting another technical round. Seeing something like this for the first time.

Another technical round, that was a little confusing for me too.

I gave an interview around 3 years back. They took 4 rounds and even didn’t had the courtesy to provide feedback or let me know that I was selected

This is the worst and most pathetic thing startup Hr are not being called out for, companies which worship there customers fail to give a courtesy rejection call to candidates after 4 rounds of grilling. Very ghatiya mentality of hr reflects here.

Theres nothing lame in this. Its just desi style of getting work done for free by enticing a job offer. Entire hiring team knows no such offer exists. Blatant stealing in daylight

Dhruv and Nikhil (3&5)?

Great! Thanks for sharing this
