I'm 12 years experienced S/w engineer & my ctc is 24 LPA. Am I underpaid?
This year I got hike and my current ctc stands at 24 LPA. 24 LPA for 12 years experienced software engineer is good enough? Or shall I try to switch job? Or be in my product company to get promotion in future and settle for life?
One’s pay is subject to many factors,
Many will say you are paid well, and many will not,
But the measure of worth isn’t caught in the check,
It’s found in the joy that no money can spot.
So weigh your heart, not just your purse,
In passions and purpose, find your verse.
Happiness blooms in places unseen,
In love, in laughter, in moments serene.
For riches fade, but memories stay,
In the simplest things, you’ll find your way.
So cherish the gifts that wealth can’t buy,
And let your spirit soar high in the sky.
Sorry, Does not matter if you are in a product or service based company. You are highly underpaid if you are in any metro City

I'm in Mumbai. In service based company, your dignity is for a toss due to client serving where as in product based company you get work life balance and dignity as product is strength of a company which intern cultivate good culture.
I have worked in both, if you are doing good work and if team and client is good then service based company is not bad, for me most important thing is money, if you see you are losing dignity then you can switch again.
Also, imo, you are losing your dignity in your current company itself, which respectful company pays 24 lpa for a 12 yoe?
I would recommend to switch a job be it a MNC or product based company, if you have an option to do so
