Infosys Delays Onboarding of Nearly 2,000 Freshers from 2022 Batch

What does unemployment around you look like? Or if not around us, for people trying to come out of Tier 2/3 towns. These mass recruiters (behemoths like Capgmeni & Cognizant + TCS Infosys) are actually the gateway for many into a city life. In the absence of it, it's scary to think what they're up to.

Loosing respect for the companies which are laying off the freshers. I thing it is the worst thing which can happen in an industry. Ola and Amazon have fired freshers very recently. Any other companies which had done this?

Roughly 2.5% of the workforce. Are there any details on teams and geographies impacted?

Freshers impacted in software/product and data science profiles. Day 1 company in all colleges. Placement season is almost over everywhere and now these students are without a job just days before their joining date. No severance too unlike layoffs. Used to pay a lot though, 30 lakhs base salary for SDEs and 15 for product analysts after taking gruelling overnight interviews. Heard internally there struggling a lot which is reflected in their stock price which is halved from 2021 despite a bull run in US tech companies in the same period. Note to anyone thinking of getting into sprinkr(obviously in future cause they showing middle finger now): join only if you want to work like a donkey in exchange of lots of money.

Does anyone here has any idea about infy power-programming joining date for 2023 batch passouts?? Has anyone got his joining or is the joining delayed for everyone?

Just heard this story of an engineering(BTech) fresher who got an offer for senior risk analyst at EY Gurgaon. In April last year they were told that the joining will be soon. When the fresher reached out again in August then they said that it is being pushed to the beginning of next year(2024). But they haven't received an updated offer letter or any updates from the onboarding team. I investigated internally and the current economy is why the dates have been pushed back again and again. Regardless, I would recommend people to continue their job hunt. Do you think people should wait or find another job?

Hi, End of last year I was ‘selected’ through campus placements at Accenture. I had recieved a confirmation letter and they got my location preference and documents. Now it is going to be almost a year but I’m still yet to receive an offer letter. Yesterday I was scrolling through Instagram reels when I came across another individual sharing a similar story. Many people in the comment section also voiced similar issues. Can anyone working at Accenture find out the reason behind this and help solve this issue for me personally?
