Interview Assignment scam?

Why do companies giving such assignments which is not even on react js, it is on fabric.js, and isnt a single functionality is enough to judge. Along with this i got wireframe design to designed it as well. What is your thought on this ?

Is it ok to give assignment as a recruitment process? Sometimes I feel it as a Fraud. Mainly companies with almost no presence on Internal. I received interview invitation from Nigeria based company. After first round they handed me an assignment of full stack project. Completing that assignment will take at-least 2 days and that company doesn’t have any presence on Internet. Should I submit the assignment?

I was desperately looking for internship for this summer then got a mail regarding doing a task to prove your worth kinda shmik, even though I have sem exams I did the task in hopes of getting the internship. Then they send me this badboy, this "task" is to make a fully functional application that can audio to a video with video frames expansion audio frames adding multiple audio to videos and multiple video to audio, audio trimming video trimming, even though I previously informed that I had exams ongoing rn, does this seem legit to you guys? Even though I'm pretty desperate I emailed them that I have exams tomorrow, then can interview me if they want but I can't do this rn... Internship search continues...

Hey guys. While I know that there is this ridiculous practice of getting candidates who are applying for upper middle to top management roles to do an assignment, has anyone who has done that experienced 'being taken advantage of'. The reason I am asking is cause I have done a couple of them (putting in decent effort and feeling quite confident) and got no calls in return. What makes it even more shady is that I don't get feedback even after asking for it a couple of times. There was once when I saw the same inputs that I gave being put in practice which infuriated me. Any inputs?

I interviewed with STRAC.io (a US-based start-up). I was given the assignment to develop a backend app which implements an API to fetch list of files and file users from Google Drive and add a real-time webhook which gets called when a permission change happens. Plus they asked me to make a video explaining the code and deploy the application to AWS. (There were some back and forth about the exact requirements) I implemented the API, deployed and made a video explaining everything. It took me 8+ hours of work. But once I submitted the code the Founder (CEO) stopped answering my emails. I just wanted to share my experience. Is this common practice? In all my previous experiences at least they sent me a rejection email. Is there anything I can do?

I was persuing cse from a decent college in pune . In my last year i.e.2023 , I was placed in a startup in pune with CTC 5 lpa but it had bond of 2 years ,so I rejected that offer .I ended up getting my college placement account banned because according to them I was already placed ,so I started looking for jobs off campus,but I never thought it's going to be this hard to look for jobs off campus. Applying to multiple companies in a day ,resume getting rejected and then applying again .for some where I get shortlisted, they keep on asking questions from things which are not even mentioned in my resume although their jd don't even mentioned those skills .In some companies where my interview was 10 on 10 (according to me), still they rejected me and when asked they used to say ,they found more suitable candidates. I graduated in September 2023 , and I am still looking for job , trying to upgrading myself everyday to get better. I never regret my decision of not accepting that job. I don't know if I am getting any job or not but I am gonna be more strong and better with each passing day . Regards .
