6 round leke kaun ghost karta hai yaar 😡
ghosted after 6 rounds of interview including HR round 🥲
Is this only me or everyone has the same situation here ?
I interviewed with STRAC.io (a US-based start-up).
I was given the assignment to develop a backend app which implements an API to fetch list of files and file users from Google Drive and add a real-time webhook which gets called when a permission change happens. Plus they asked me to make a video explaining the code and deploy the application to AWS. (There were some back and forth about the exact requirements)
I implemented the API, deployed and made a video explaining everything. It took me 8+ hours of work. But once I submitted the code the Founder (CEO) stopped answering my emails.
I just wanted to share my experience.
Is this common practice? In all my previous experiences at least they sent me a rejection email. Is there anything I can do?
Happened the same with one of my friends. Avoid joining these unknown eaely stage startups. Your life would be hell if you would have joined
Another company: Sumtrackr Instant rejection after code submission.
At least you got a dope project on your resume
Fokat me kaam karane ki ninja technique
Same thing happened with me when I interviewed with an Indian startup. Their ceo even did an ama here.
if they even went on to ask you for a video demonstration, it it most likely that your code is now being used as a part of their internal developments. this practice of companies using interview assignment submissions for their clientele is not uncommon

The assignment they gave is a problem statement in their own domain and its basically to propose a strategy to ensure company is a leader ...
IIT grad here building a venture backed startup. I think 99% of folks here believe that venture backed founders are super entitled and in a much "cosier" position than employees
Just sharing a few facts about our journey so far if it ...
Oh no poor founders, they have to pay fair salary to their employees.
You sir, are an eloquent individual. Somebody needed to say this!
My questions to founders (not to you): 1 why fire people instead of founders taking salary cut which they dont? 2...
After completing the initial round, I was given only 48 hours to finish a substantial portion of the assignment, which was nearly half of the app. Despite this, I managed to complete it outside of office hours during the week.
A week a...
