Whats with these assignments?

After completing the initial round, I was given only 48 hours to finish a substantial portion of the assignment, which was nearly half of the app. Despite this, I managed to complete it outside of office hours during the week.

A week after submitting the assignment, I reached out to inquire about the status, and the HR informed me that the team didn't find the assignment up to their expectations.

When I checked the list of shared profiles within Figma file, I noticed that only my profile was listed. Upon asking the HR about this discrepancy, she mentioned that the team checked the assignment through figma file and they had forwarded my profile to another team (POD) for consideration.

There is one more company that shortlisted my assignment and then asked for my expectation and eventually ghosted.

This situation feels frustrating and unfair.

Save the assignment as part of your portfolio. Don't let it go to waste. Some other company will ask for your work samples and you can share this with them saying it's a freelance work.

Publish all assignments publicly and tag the companies for which you made them. Don't need to mention it was for interview. Try to check occasionally if they end up using any of it. Give them hell if they do.
