Bought one a month back. Best purchase I mush say. I used it to make notes, write, read via kindle, learn new stuff, and explore. Since I use IPhone 12 mini so for me big screen is a welcome change.  
  
 If you want to do something productive then it’s a must buy, if not then just a fancy gadget.

As a UX designer who used to double time as a college student, I needed to create desgins and PPTs on the go. I needed an iPad ... 
  
 I also needed to run the software for getting screenshots on bugs etc. I needed a powerful laptop. 
  
 So I bought a Lenovo Yogi 7i.

I generally dont read books. Its a 360° foldable laptop. You can use it as a tab and a laptop. But its bulky compared to an ipad.

UX/UI Designer

I buyed pro 3 years back, could not use the pro features but definitely happy to have for infotainment.  
 I regret sometimes as i could had saved taking the non-pro.

Actually yeah non pro models are enough if you are not a ui/ux designer.

I don’t get why ui/ux developers require pro with higher processing. I feel it is meant for gaming only.

I am thinking of buying Ipad 10th Gen, wi-fi, 256 Gb configuration.
Primarily I was thinking of using the same to study and do research around new technology for eg to read new research papers and all.

Those who are using it, is it enough useful, what are your thoughts?

This might just be style quotient and spending around 65k might not worth it, so confused here!

Any suggestions?

Hey Viners, I'm looking for some financial advice. 

While I'm not someone who spends impulsively, but an urge to get an iPad and begin taking notes on it is strong. 

My financial situation: I get 90K per month, out of which 50K goes to my family and around 25K is for EMIs and miscellaneous expenses. 

Do you think it's a good idea to buy an iPad for someone who's grinding Leetcode problems? 
If yes, which model is best for my needs?

I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I've been wanting it since I was a kid just like I wanted an ipad. I pondered over ipad for 2 years and then ended up buying it. It has been 8 months since I bought it and it's lying discharged because I don't know what to use it for.

Similarly I've been craving to buy PS since I was a kid. I like gaming but not too big of a fan and now im concerned that even if i buy PS 5 will i use it?

Whats your suggestion? I don't want to throw 50k like I did for iPad. 🤐

PS: I can very well afford it so money isn't a problem. It being worth the money and I being able to use it is, and I don't know what to do

Apart from babies and grannies, does anyone even use an iPad?

I have been pursuing some aspirational products like Apple Watch SE, Airpods Pro 2, PS5 etc. since a long time. I go to the Amazon page and add it to cart but then my conscience questions me as to is it worth spending so much on it? I earn decently and live in BLR but still I dont fully understand to give my mind a valid reason for purchasing a 40k Watch that shows time, some metrics and some automation. Also 20k for listening music, 50k for playing games.

It feels as if is it sane to spend much on these personal material stuff? How do you folks look at this while making purchases?

How do you justify expensive purchases to yourself?

For some ps5 is not about price, it's about their dream to buy since college days (many ppl I know bought it) and same goes for other stuff as well.

And I have seen this trend of people buying phones worth more than runway or monthly salary 
Is it all worth it 
I was even excited to buy an iPhone or Top end Samsung phone a few years back 
But Now I don't even feel like it
It just feels like any other electronic gadgets that aren't worth spending much 

The Famous EMI Trap :
This has given so many people the privilege of buying those 1L+ Phones 
Every other guy has an iPhone in Bengaluru, Seems like having an android is more like a standout 

People on this App I just wanna know the opinions 
Am I doing something wrong or the People are Burying in their own trap 
Or Can we just pass saying "Everybody has their own mindset" 

And Not as a rant or frustration just a thought do People still have the Apple as a status mindset

I got laid off in November so I bought a m1 mac air as I didn’t have a personal laptop. Now I got a job and I don’t see myself using this laptop at all. I feel like I should have bought an ipad as I lt can be used for writing too.

My current phone is almost 4 years old so I am in dire need of a new one, most of my friends/colleagues are buying Iphone and recommending me the same(since it has best camera + brand value) but for me spending most of my salary on a phone seems absurd....

Buying a tablet with as less budget as I can but can pay for utility

- Want to read (Mac plus android phone is cluttered)
- Basic design (canva) willing to try ios for procreate (I am a designer) 
- App design (flutterflow)
- Basic video editing (for Instagram and linkedin)

Consideration set
- ipad 9th gen
- ipad air (worth the money for my use case) 
- Samsung a9+, s7 FE, s6 lite

Decision parameters
- book reading experience
- money vs use case worth
- need stylus
- 2 to 3 years low maintainance tab

Anything else to consider?

Recently what i have observed is that I can’t bring too many notes copies while travelling to new place.. so im thinking of buying an ipad for Notes related stuff (im a fresher SE) .. and grinding alongside with fulltime, im type of person who takes notes everytime i learn a new tech or anything, which help me to get complete content even after a year to brush up skill. ipad air 5 with pen im planning.. kindly suggest if this is the right investment or any advice
