Is it only me or you also think Tanay Pratap’s content is full of cringe

The camp in my opinion is not what it claims to be. People who are doing well in the camp are the ones who took matters in their own hand and started learning on their own. Pros: 1. Practice sets were given often(There were 27 practice sets of all topics) which helped us form the practice for writing code for hooks without wasting time in thinking about the approach. 2. Community is good. MA’s are very helpful and will guide you in every situation. Taking the time out of their busy schedule. Very thankful to them. 3. Machine coding rounds were conducted. Which helped us speed up the process. 4. Revision sessions were conducted for people who couldn’t understand the lecture taken by Tanay. These sessions were taken by Akanksha. Cons: 1. Redux was removed from course even though it is mentioned on the website. They say that redux is not important but it is, companies ideally want their candidates to know redux. 2. Tanay simply skims through a topic, does not go in depth inside any topic. An advice which he ironically gives in his youtube videos. He ignores any advanced questions asked in the session claiming he has not covered yet. Says he will teach later and does not cover that topic later. 3. We were forbidden to discuss anything that isn’t taught yet.Stopping the flow of knowledge. That means you can’t even use the community to discuss something new because they haven’t taught it yet. 4. MA’s(Ex-neoGrads) were discouraged from answering questions about topics that weren’t taught yet. They used to host sessions on hard topics that people didn’t understand in voice chats but were discouraged to do so. 5. Didn’t even cover the dependency array in useEffect hook. He just said you will keep it empty 90% of the time. useMemo and useCallback were not even mentioned. Forget about code optimizations. Honestly, you will learn more in a 30min youtube video than in their class. Continued in comments......

Well he has a loyal fan following on social media. Anyone tried NeoG or Invact Courses? Or know him as a person?

This is the best review someone can give for upcoming batch. You'll have 3 days to ask for refund go once the camp starts. Please go for it. If you are working and have a salary of 4 lpa don't expect much for this so called bootcamp. Bootcamp is well planned here it is nothing like that. They gave us so many assignments so that they can filter out people for roc8 because those many assignments were not possible to manage with full time job. Freshers you can get 4lpa + package with little knowledge of DSA. Everytime he has this excuse that market is not good which he didn't think before keeping so many students in hope and making this a business. You can learn react from YouTube. There is no rocket science that he is giving there. Again the curriculum just sucks. Her wife doesn't know anything she literally reads notion saying that it is a revision class. He has no idea what is going on the camp. Just fooling students by selling hope please don't fall for it. Prepare DSA you'll get a good software developer job. No company for freshers actually care about what language you know. Go for namastey javascript and namastey react if you really want to learn react. Roc8 sucks too. This is literally 10 Months since camp started and not more than 15 students are placed and half of them are through LinkedIn there is no neoGcamp and roc8. You'll get a good community but doesn't matter it is not worth 48k. Please don't waste your money and fall for this. I'll answer all your questions if you have any. Again, the camp just sucks like Tanay's reels and YouTube videos.

My nephew tells me about all these FAANG bhaiyya and didi thing and it makes me really wonder whether it is a good thing for the tech culture in India. Like providing content is fine but with every second kid launching a DSA boot camp or Product Topmate link is probably shilling to gullible students. Any idea?

Linkedin has become a place where people post about cracking tech interviews without any tech discussion. Every guy with or without MAANG gives guidance to clear interviews but none of them posts a single stuff about the tech itself. Cracking tech interviews in India has become hype like JEE.

Do the cringe content creators on LinkedIn ever contemplate on the cringe that they post based on the comments/feedback and improve their posts? Or do they just listen to Shake it Off by Taylor Swift on repeat? I’m genuinely interested in knowing if there are any content creators who have gone from cringe to useful content based on feedback received from the audience.
