The camp in my opinion is not what it claims to be. People who are doing well in the camp are the ones who took matters in their own hand and started learning on their own.
Pros:
Practice sets were given often(There were 27 practice sets of all topics) which helped us form the practice for writing code for hooks without wasting time in thinking about the approach.
Community is good. MA’s are very helpful and will guide you in every situation. Taking the time out of their busy schedule. Very thankful to them.
Machine coding rounds were conducted. Which helped us speed up the process.
Revision sessions were conducted for people who couldn’t understand the lecture taken by Tanay. These sessions were taken by Akanksha.
Cons:
Redux was removed from course even though it is mentioned on the website. They say that redux is not important but it is, companies ideally want their candidates to know redux.
Tanay simply skims through a topic, does not go in depth inside any topic. An advice which he ironically gives in his youtube videos. He ignores any advanced questions asked in the session claiming he has not covered yet. Says he will teach later and does not cover that topic later.
We were forbidden to discuss anything that isn’t taught yet.Stopping the flow of knowledge. That means you can’t even use the community to discuss something new because they haven’t taught it yet.
MA’s(Ex-neoGrads) were discouraged from answering questions about topics that weren’t taught yet. They used to host sessions on hard topics that people didn’t understand in voice chats but were discouraged to do so.
Didn’t even cover the dependency array in useEffect hook. He just said you will keep it empty 90% of the time. useMemo and useCallback were not even mentioned. Forget about code optimizations. Honestly, you will learn more in a 30min youtube video than in their class.

Its been a year and i am still discovering and learning new things about React while on the job.
The depth was very shallow. Wasted my 35k which is worth just 500 udemy course.

I joined Neog hoping to learn Advanced Full stack but LOL this whole bootcamp is a scam. They are only focussed on earning money. A simple 500rs Udemy course will teach you more than this Channa mereya drama. There has been 0 percent addition in my knowledge after joining NEOG because I already know basics I wanted to learn Advanced things.

I have no problem with Neog Do whatever you want. But please don't lie about your course. Just Mention it on your website that you will only teach basics. I regret that hard-earned money of my parents is wasted.

Camp end hone ko hai, abhi tk Tanay ke muh se Vitual Dom, reconciliation, diff , react fiber enme se ek bhi word nahi suna maine.
35K floating in the water.
Tanay is himself responsible for romantisizing Bengaluru and creating major FOMO for people especially from Northern India.
This has happened 2-3 times where even before starting the lecture, he asks us to keep our expectations low since market conditions are worse and you should not expect above 3 - 5lpa.
Tanay is not even present in the camp much. He just comes to take lectures and has come twice/thrice in neoG server asking for project updates of students. He is busy with Invact and does not have the time.
For CSS only basics were covered that too not very well. Vikram sir taught us well but due to personal reasons he could not take more than two sessions, further classes were taken by Tanay. Advanced CSS mentioned on the website is nowhere to be seen.
None of the special guest sessions mentioned on the website has happened yet.
The roc-8 also tells you that don’t expect a package more than 5lpa. Also you get 5lpa if you are very good. They don’t force you to accept but they try to brainwash you by saying don’t compare yourself with someone else. Just get into the field and you will earn money eventually. Think long term.
Once someone asked Akanksha that they are facing some problem in CSS, they said you should ask other students if they are able to do it, which was funny because they haven’t even taught the basics properly for which students have paid. And instead of teaching students they are asking them to learn from others.
The whole strategy of neoG seems to be to get maximum people placed not caring about the students' caliber and if they can score a decent package or not. They are teaching you accordingly, not going in depth about any topic.
Interview practice is bogus as well. They covered closures/scope in 15 minutes max, they didn’t feel the need to go in depth and help us understand better.
Classes are scheduled for 3 - 3.5 hours, but are always finished in half the duration. Initially there were no classes on Saturday. Classes were held only on saturday for 2 months in the start and not on saturday and sunday.
Honestly you should join neoG only if you don’t know anything and have 35k to spend, which they have increased now. So, you’ll be paying 47500 including GST. You will honestly learn a lot more in an udemy course of react and JS which costs around 350-450. Be careful where you spend your money.

All in all I am a better dev due to neog but realised that Neog is more of community than teaching.

We have talked with many 2021 & 2022 grads. After listening to the things they used to learn and do, 2023 batch is just trash. Only running to fill their pockets.

If they can just say the truth on website that what they are gonna teach, we won't be ranting here then. Tanay Pratap, her sister and her wife are scamming tier 3 students in the name of making them advanced frontend dev.

I request every student who is planning to join neoG Camp 2024, kindly save yourself and spread the word about this. There a lot a people who still think these people are doing something great but in reality they are just minting money with bare minimum effort.
Tanay is busy with invact. He won't have time for you. So if you are fascinated by his YouTube videos and are planning to join, you are in for a major disappointment.

As a neogrammer 23 . I'm confirming this to be true. I have also joined with so many dreams but they took my money , ranted haule haule day in & day out and at the end they didn't even taught anything important and advance stuffs on frontend domain forget about full stack which they claim in their official site. Before coming to neog I was learning react by myself and had good knowledge about it but they didn't even taught what I had already know.
They didn't teach redux, advance css and even in react they just introduced it.
When it comes to interview preparation they fooled us. They took 1hr of class on it and taught nothing. Not even basic DSA which they have claimed in official site.
I felt cheated at the end by spending 35k.
PS: MAs are very helpful and they help us whole heartedly. I have deep respect for these people.
Ma's and community are perhaps the only good thing about the camp.
