Most of the cases, when fired / laid off companies ask you to resign. This insurance is not applicable when you resign. Not worth it imo. Since monthly premium ~400. Not a bad choice even if you opt for it.

I am seeing a lot of LinkedIn influencers promoting it.(I get skeptical if influencers promote a product). It looks good on papers.

I was recently affected by LinkedIn's layoffs in November 2023, and I've heard jobsurance being a scam, but I want to give the highest recommendation to them, for their support and quick turn around time to get the insurance process completed.

Ankit, the company founder, personally involved himself in my case, kept me in the loop with regular updates, and guided with the options. I work in product for a series A funded startup that just laid off 40% folks in my team.

 Work environment has become tremendously stressful with top management continuously threatening about every small thing.

Although getting job insurance seems like a good idea - still not completely convinced these are reliable

I got laid off in Jan. Took 4 months to land a job finally and joined a new company in May.
This new company seems to be silently laying off people now in the name of cost cutting and likely be trying to raise next round of funding although they previously raised previous round in Aug-2022.
Although right now it's more of they need me (my role, I'm the only person of this role) more than I need them, I'm 70% confident that I might not be impacted, but the 30% chance is keeping me sleepless. What do I do? Pretty traumatized from the first layoff.
