Letting go ✨

A couple of weeks back, I faced an emotional turmoil. I thought I'd found "the one" but that actually wasn't the case. And no hate here, but I did not take the bursting on my fairytale bubble very gracefully. When my delusion broke, I was a total mess, emotionally and mentally. And it made things worse for both of us. But one thing I take as a learning from this incident is that, no matter how hard you try, no matter how much of yourself you pour into someone, if it isn't meant to be, it won't work out. And this fact has to be accepted with grace and dignity. I believed in the concept of soulmates, i believed that somewhere, someone is meant to be for me, made for me and only me. But today I believe the concept soulmates isn't hypothetical, magical or delusional the way I previously thought it was. It is when two people are willing to save the bond between them and put efforts, both ways, to protect what's theirs. It's a realistic concept only when relationship worth saving for the two people. Realising this took a lot of introspection. I hope this helps y'all in one way or the other. ✨
