Looks like it was worth the wait!

Saw this post today & although i appreciate the guys' perseverance, is it really worth it to spend THIS long for another job? I mean i am unemployed for 7 months now & I'm thinking about expanding my search for similar opportunities(PMM, DA, BA). Does this mean something is wrong with his approach or his skillsets aren't good enough?

Age 30, married, expecting to be alive till 80 50 L in cash Own house & car (no plan to sell any of them) No kids, no loans, no expectations, just basic life Nothing from family Excel calculation is hinting yes :) But need practical advice

Take this moment to thank my first manager. She changed my entire career and helped my realise true potential. I come from a tier 2 college. Come from a very lower middle class family, thanks to my parents who ensured I got everything for my education without worrying about anything. Topped my 10th board and then fumbled in 12th. Joined a tier 2 private college. Did engineering got placed somehow and then found the manager who changed my life and realised how much importance a manager has. She scolded me but helped me with my mistakes learned everything from her. Started at a salary of 5 lpa then in just 6 years of my journey I have reached a base salary of 80lpa as a director of product management. Although I left the first company after 3.5 years but whatever I learned from her has shaped me to what I am. I truly believe and hard work in initial part of my career and I believe without hardwork one cannot achieve top 1% things... My mantra is to give my 100% and even more in the initial part of career then enjoy everything. Today I am able to provide everything to my family. I have enough time, money and health to support myself and my family. Just a gratitude post. Hard work always pays off. My work ex will be 6 years in April btw...

Actually, watching this at work live. We’ve done it finally. Moments like these, you realise that we may suffer setbacks and failures but it’s our tenacity to get back up and fight our way to the top. Especially, after the failure of the last mission, it’s proud to say that our Scientists did the best to learn from the mistakes and made the best out of it. We are now part of an exclusive club, the #1 country to get to the Lunar South Pole and the #4 country to actually land on the moon(after US, Russia and China)

I was laid off on 7th Sep and my garden leave was till 29th Sep. I got average severance package and I was in panic situation for almost 2 weeks. I gave interviews for 12 targeted position (luckily got till last rounds for all positions and got total 5 offers. 2 offers felt like being exploited, employers were milking my layoff situation and offered 10%-15%. I took a call to reject them and explore further. Got 3 offers in first week of Jan, these were worth considering. Yes I did wait for 4 months to see such favourable offers. One with 15% hile and relocation, second with 60k Euro and move to Europe and third offer with 100% hike with remote. It was a no brainer and I closed on the one with Remote and 100% hike. Dont just rush to close on anything which comes first, assess the future and close on the decent or best one according to ur needs. For those who were laid-off recently and looking for opportunities I would say keep faith market is opening and positions are getting listed. You will get something good soon.
