MBA Abroad

Hey there I am a 2021 graduate. Have worked for 1 year in an ed-tech giant and another year at a startup. Had a brilliant time in startup, learnt a lot and enjoyed every bit of it until couple of months back, when there were layoffs and some part of the team was asked to leave. Now I don't enjoy working here because of high amount of work, no wlb and no people to chill with and planning to switch. But with current market scenarios not sure if that's the right choice. I am also thinking to do an MBA next year probably from tier 1 tier 2 colleges. What according to you would be the best path or what you'd have chosen to do here? Profile- APM with about 1 YoE

Currently an APM in B2B from tier 1 college. CTC: 21 LPA Exp: ~2 yrs Should I go for an MBA? If yes, then: - Indian MBA vs Abroad - 1 year vs 2 year Goal is to progress rapidly in my career and get a stable job with good pay and WLB in a reputed company. Finally retire in 15-20 years from now with a hefty corpus.

Hi folks, are multiple job switches considered a red flag by MBA programs, especially those in the US? And say ISB in India? There are perfectly legitimate and imo valid reasons for said job switches.

Very confused and have very less time to finalize

I currently hold a SDE position with 2 years of experience, and I've come to the realization that coding isn't my ideal career path. Consequently, I'm contemplating pursuing an MBA primarily to transition into an executive role and have better growth opportunities post-MBA. My current salary is 18 lakhs per annum, while I've observed that the average packages at ISB hover around 35 lakhs per annum. And the fees is around 40-45 lacs. Does it seem reasonable to pursue an MBA? I understand that it might take 3-4 years to break even in terms of costs, but in relation to gaining experience and expanding my professional network, is this a step I should genuinely consider?

Working in the Founder's Office of a FinTech startup presently. I have an admit from ISB for next year (Co'25). I want to get into a Chief of Staff role at growth stage startup eventually, and with 3-4 additional years of experience, I should be able to do so. Wondering whether ISB can fast track my path, and considering if it's a good investment financially. Views folks?

Hi Folks, I am trying to understand how relevant it is for a PM, say after 6 years of experience, to have an MBA. (By this I mean an executive MBA) While I would like to understand pros and cons, what I also wanted to ask this group we have here is, if there are alternate resources or curriculum resources available anywhere so anyone can get that education without spending a fortune. Not everyone can spend 30L for an education, also not everyone can afford to miss getting paid, due to commitments or debts or medical expenses to near and dear. I would like to know your honest thoughts on how MBA has helped you with your thinking and hence working and if you could share some resources, followed by say Top Tier colleges, to aid anyone who is following this thread.

Hi folks, I’m a Sr. PM at a good startup currently getting 40 LPA. My total experience is 6 years (2 years PM). One of the CXOs suggested to me (over a casual conversation) to consider doing an MBA from ISB or Ivy League colleges if I can afford a career break. I know that post-MBA might not see a huge jump in CTC but from a long-term perspective do you think it would be worth it? Will it open more avenues for growth?

I am already Product Manager. With salary same as avg ISB graduate salary. I am 31 years old. Should I do it ? Or keep pursuing the job hunt ?
