Making friends as adults is so difficult
They don't know your life, may say something that triggers your PTSD But now you cannot react, though hurt You cannot drive them away because it isn't even their fault π₯Ίπͺ
Bro you're the most social person on here. If it's difficult for you, the rest of us shouldn't even think about it. π
Yeah, you're right though the new friend sticking around is difficult. And at some point we outgrow our school/ college friends too, some days we are just there so we don't rot at home.

Haha I'm not social irl. I get awkward talking, cannot keep conversations going even on text. It's just we have to be doubly careful speaking now, we spoke anything/everything back in school/college

I feel if people meet with similar intentions, it won't be that hard. It certainly takes time though, but can be done. You need to put efforts.
We meet so many people, like even if we meet anyone from Grapevine, how many of us have reached out again and put efforts into it? It's not gonna happen on it's own and it certainly cannot be done in 1 meetπ

100% true!
Even if the vibes matched, continuing being in touch is one thing.
Plus I don't want to be a pile on, I don't message them even π’
If you wanna make friends, you should. No one's coming to rescue us. We are all we got for our troubles unfortunately π

When you're young you bond over common interests.
When you're adulting you bond over trauma.

Most of the people we meet as adults are temporary. Only a few leave a lasting impression. Out of those few, one or two will match your vibes and share a few common interests. Itβs up to us how we preserve those precious connections. Itβs like βtake it or leave it.β
Personally, if I feel someone is worth being a lifelong friend, I always give my best and sometimes Iβm ready to go the extra mile to preserve that friendship. Having two or three lifelong friends is far more valuable than having 100 average or fake friends.
As adults, it is diffucult to have selfless friendship. There are a lot of factors which are brought in from both sides and that creates an impact not everyone can handle, but who knows one can get lucky and actually make a real friend who stands by you through thick and thin.
For the tree of friendship to flourish efforts shld be made from both sides.
The only solution is to eat biriyani and enjoy life and let go of all other sh*t.. ryt? @BiryaniEnthu π
