I have been working at a product company (not FAANG) since around 2.5years(Joined in Oct 2020), I have joined here as a fresher. Working here as Java backend SDE. Currently my CTC is around 9 LPA. Hike will be there in June. What is the market standard salary for my background ?
SDE2 is a wide range. If you’ll be promoted this cycle to SDE2, expect around 12-15 based on your 9 as an SDE1. Else expect 10-12 with a raise.
Would benefit you to perhaps switch, beyond 2-3 years in one company, usually you would be underpaid compared to market.
