I’ve done this process once & as per good advice one must get it done whenever you change orgs. So there’s an EPF & there’s EPS. My first org contributed to EPF(by their will) & to EPS(likely by accident) & now when I try to transfer my balance from my 2nd account to 3rd account, the transfer fails citing this reason.
TL; dr : fill form 11 & initiate a balance transfer to your new firm & get it approved by your new org, problem solved 🙂
Following. Did you opt for attestation from current or previous employer?
It's an online process. Takes a couple of minutes of effort if you have provided the correct details to your new employer. Backend approvals take a couple of days. Transfer is imp else your balance will stop accruing interest after 3 yrs
