I’ve done this process once & as per good advice one must get it done whenever you change orgs. So there’s an EPF & there’s EPS. My first org contributed to EPF(by their will) & to EPS(likely by accident) & now when I try to transfer my balance from my 2nd account to 3rd account, the transfer fails citing this reason. TL; dr : fill form 11 & initiate a balance transfer to your new firm & get it approved by your new org, problem solved 🙂

It's an online process. Takes a couple of minutes of effort if you have provided the correct details to your new employer. Backend approvals take a couple of days. Transfer is imp else your balance will stop accruing interest after 3 yrs

EPF Accounts Merge

I joined company A and worked there for 3 Years. Now I have switched and joined company B. EPF has two accounts. One for company A and one for company B. Now the problem is when I try to merge both the accounts it rejects my request as my basic salary in Company A was greater than 15000 and irrespective of that company A made a contribution in EPS (Employer Pension Scheme). Now without closing the EPS account from Company A there is no way to merge the EPF account. When I contacted company A, they said they don't have any solution for this problem it's been 10 months with the same issue. Any suggestions/solutions???

Seeking Advice - Portfolio Check

Age - 33 YOE - ~ 10 years in Marketing Zero exposure to US stocks. Zero exposure to Crypto. Have a house (~45 lacs) for parents in a Tier 2 city which I haven’t added here. No liabilities (finished an education loan and a home loan) Recently started investing in NPS and will continue to do (~1.5 lpa) and accumulating SGB (~2.5 lacs, the screenshot doesn’t capture gold correctly) from the past 6 months. Question - is there merit in talking money out of EPF and reinvesting in Mutual Funds? What is the general view. Open to any other suggestions. TIA!

I have recently switched job for the first time. New Hr asked for uan number which I shared. I have also received 2 months of contribution in same UAN account. Some people are saying I need to do a separate process of uan acount transfer? 1. Do I need to transfer UAN account from previous conpany to new? 2. If so how?
