Gave 4 long rounds for Flipkart sde 2 position. Did a decent job in all rounds (according to me). Now I am getting ghosted. HRs are not picking my calls from the last 6 or 7 days.
Also saw a leetcode post today, the person had the same 1st round as mine so I think he got selected.

Feeling very sad because this is the 3rd company that has ghosted me after taking all the rounds.

HRs don't even have the basic work ethic to say yes/no on a 30 seconds call. Worst people I'd say

I had applied for a company, a dream job. I had 2 rounds of interviews and then submitted an assignment. When I sent the assignment, I had to push the recruiter to acknowledge. And one week later they sent me an email that they've hired someone. It's so depressing. Thoughts? 

I don't think it was a fair play, I wasn't given a fair opportunity.

Recently I have been interviewed by a company and cleared the first round. Then I had 2nd round of the interview conducted through intervue.io which is a outsourced platform. The interviewer was least bothered to know what I am doing in my current role and how I can contribute to org but only conducted interviews by posting code snippet to solve. Do you think it is right way to conduct interviews? Please share your experience

Why companies have made interview so hard?

I have seen some companies post about them looking to hire a lot of people and ask people to reach out to them over DM (if their DM is even open in the first place lol), but when I do, I never hear anything back. I have 4 yoe and have applied to so many of these companies, reached out to people working there, but no one has ever replied back. Why do they even say that their DMs are open in the first place? I don't know how to even get my resume in front of an actual person working there, and my resume is not even that bad. Like how do people get interviews in these companies in the first place? I have applied so many times but never actually got contacted by any HR. Any tips will be much appreciated.

[Rant] How do you get interviews in big companies like FAANG, PhonePe, Rippling, Atlassian, etc?

Getting interviews at FAANG india is not hard at all. Especially Amazon would literally interview anyone who knows basic coding and is alive. Have blocked multiple of their recruiters.

Was interviewing for a B2B SaaS which would've been a great company to join. Started speaking to them in December. Went through 5 rounds of interview, the last one with the founder. Ended up rejecting me because of my past work experience not being the best fit for what they want.

This was such an incredibly frustrating experience. They checked my skill set with an assignment and product solutionising round, and yet relied on past experience to filter me out after being in conversation for months.

Only thing for me to learn here is to never let your guard down, always be wary that you can be rejected at any point. Your skills, even if tested, matter only to the extent that you can combine it with telling them what they want to hear.

That said, anyone looking for a product manager? :) Have ~2 years of experience as a PM (3+ overall).

Got the last 2 jobs via my network, didn't apply for it. 

Some lessons learnt:
1. Get into that high iq, mafia type companies, where the bar is really high 
2. If you end up doing good then you'll get calls from your circles to work on something exciting
3. Lastly, work on your personal branding, write that blog down, tell how you did it, it should attract niche audience in your circle

1/ They join the call with a position of authority, rather than a position of understanding
2/ They are allowed to walk in when ever they want, but don't take it lightly when candidate turns up late
3/They were supposed to assess talent, but they turn the interview into an ego trip of "I know more". Newsflash: You’re not the one being hired.
4/ They were supposed to get to know the candidate, but they spend the first half ticking off the checkboxes and the second half on talking about stuff thats remotely not relevant. If the candidate wanted a podcast, they’d have tuned in.
5/ They were supposed to ask relevant meaningful questions, but they would rather ask - "How many chickens does it take to lift a watermelon". 
6/ They were supposed to focus on the candidate's strengths, but they spend the whole time nitpicking flaws to feel superior.
7/ They were supposed to have a conversation, but instead, they interrogate.
8/ They were supposed to dig into the candidate's experience, but instead, they waste time on surface-level crap.
9/ They were supposed to close with clear feedback, but they would rather say "The HR will get back to you"
10/ They were supposed to challenge the candidate's thinking, but instead, they would rather ask the same generic questions copied from google
11/ They were supposed to understand the candidate's ambition, but instead, they focus on how much the candidate knows about the company
12/ They were supposed to evaluate the future potential, but they would rather obsess on their past
13/ They were supposed to value resilience and honesty, but the minute a candidate mentions they were laid off, they assume it's performance-related
14/ They were supposed to reward ambition, but when candidates ask for a higher salary, it’s seen as greed
15/ They were supposed to evaluate culture fit, but don’t even know their own culture

What would you add?

Most interviewers forget why they entered the conversation in the first place

One time, the interviewer got offended when I asked for his introduction after I was done with mine.  He was like, you want my introduction, my introduction? I was like yes, if that's fine.

The amount of pride in this post (https://shorturl.at/nopPW) almost baffles me, how is it okay to ask someone to spend their time on a 'pre-interview' assignment? What if the candidate doesn't fit the budget, or the notice period is a bit too much etc. Imagine going through so much only to be laid off because "sorry we hired like crazy and need to do cost-cutting now"
