My company is forcing me to pay Commiseration Contribution.

So I joined a company through a referral. The referral is from a good friend that I trust. After joining the company, there were issues like a laptop taking time to get delivered etc. After 2-3 weeks, my RM, the CEO started showing the true colors. He started accusing me of cheating during the interview assignment. Said, I should work on my personal laptop (I don't have any) and when I told him that I don't have it, he just simply mocked me for it. The issue is, he is not giving me a salary now. I have been connected with him and HR and all they are doing is making this in me. There is no official notice on salary delay or anything. What should I do? I am a bread earner and my family depends on me. Please help. How should I proceed about it

So this lala shop that I'm working for wants to be a billion dollar company but doesn't believe in clearing salary arrears. This drama started around March this year just before the appraisal. The employee portal was shut down citing some "updates" and later they slyly updated terms and conditions related to appraisal in all of our offer letters. The outcome of this was although we were told that the salary was raised but we still received the old salary for 3 months (April, May, June). We were informed the arrears would be created by September. But no updates. It's November and still the HR is silent about the difference that they owe to us. What's the best way to tackle this situation? Of course I want to leave this company but not before I take my wages.

In my BGV process it was found that I was a junior DS in one of the previous orgs. In my resume I mentioned it as just DS, without the 'junior'. The HR has informed this has come up as a red flag from the BGV company. This is weird. Has this ever happened to anyone and will this lead to termination? If yes, do they also ask to pay back the salaries? I have already worked for 3 months here.

Been hearing this a lot these days where companies are firing a bunch of people and forcing some others to resign, to bring down the severance cost. What are these situations created by these companies which actually force people to resign?

Microsoft has lost all respect from me today. Guys please spread the word so that all come to know reality. I am writing this post on behalf of my friend who is still in bad mood having mental trauma. Yesterday my friend from Microsoft was let go from his job in India. He was being pressurised to write relieving letter saying he was quitting at his own will and that the HR apparently said if he didn't write the email in next half or 1 hour he won't be getting any severance or benefits by Microsoft India. Wait..who does this to an employee? He was so tensed yesterday that he is leaving for his hometown in few days, he doest want to do any job for some time, he was literally crying. He said the ones who didnt got laid off have lost the will to work. His friends who got fired are crying as it was least expected from Microsoft. imo even amazon and sf handled the indian layoffs in a better way than Microsoft. Other then that Microsoft peeps are not allowed to write anything rubbish on social media. You can yourself see 3 rounds of layoff have happened in India and you will rarelly see any post yet on LinkedIn. Just imagine to what extent these firms are going to save their image. 😵‍💫🥺 msft used to have best people culture but now its something unimaginable😣

I officially left my previous organization in October 2023, but I actually worked until December 2023. I was going through a financial emergency and requested them to pay November and December month salaries in October itself, to which they complied, and did my entire full n final clearance in October itself. Unfortunately, the finance team made errors: my end of service date in the PF account is listed as October, and there were no tax deductions nor PF paid for November and December, also causing issues with my pay slips. My experience letter correctly states my last working month as December. I've tried to rectify the situation by asking my previous organization to update my end of service date, but due to the missing PF deductions, it will not be possible. Now i am joining a new org and i am afraid i will fail the background check cz of all this and they are demanding for last 3 months payslips while i have payslip only for october which includes Salary till December under “other prerequisite” Please advice on a way out. I do not wish to lose opportunities due to this situation.

Hey Grapeviners, Need a professional help. So yesterday my HR reached out to me saying they want me to discontinue the job immediately because they are focusing on cost cutting. While they are hiring team of interns to do the task and eliminating full time employees. I want to know what are the options available to me as they are not giving any notice to terminate the job while it has written in employment letter that any one of us has to give 30 days notice in written or if I don’t give notice then I have to pay 3 months salary. Based on the agreement can I ask severance package if they immediately discontinue? What will be the better payment to ask in this scenario? What will be the pros and cons in this situation and how to proceed further?

So yeah a friend of mine got his salary deducted by 12%. He got a D band as he came from onsite two months ago and took a leave, after which he was in bench for 1 month. Now while checking revised compensation he noticed that his salary got deducted by 12%. Pushing him back 2 years of increment. On the other hand I got 4.5% increment for pulling 12 hours days.
