My company is forcing me to pay Commiseration Contribution.

So some director/SVP level employee of my company passed away and my company is forcing all the employees to pay a whole day's salary to their family in order to fill the void. They are not even asking for it, they just sent a mass email mentioned a day's salary would be deducted for this month and would be shown as Commiseration Contribution in our salary slips. Below is the email we received: "Very recently we lost our dear friend and colleague XXXX, leaving behind a legacy and a 10 year old son whose Birthday was on XXXX,I saw his wife put up an old picture of XXXX with his son cutting a birthday cake from yesteryear’s celebration. While nothing we do can fill the void the family is enduring, the least we can do in order to support the family is, with a one-time employee contribution for 1 day, across the board, included in the pay cycle of October ‘23. You would see the amount as 'Commiseration Contribution' in your October ‘23 salary slip. " Furthermore, they even have the audacity of mentioning "In case anyone would like to contribute more than a day’s salary, or needs assistance on any additional information, kindly write to us" Kindly help, how do I not let the deduction happen? Also, this isn't the first time this is happening, last time similar happened was for some managerial level employee and that was just half day's salary so we did not object for that, but this is just completely senseless. TLDR: How do I stop a deduction from my salary for an employee passing away.
