 For DSA start with recursion and then trees 
 Watch YouTube videos to understand what recursion is, get intuition to solve problems.

Need guidance

I am student in second semester of b tech , and after my b tech I want to pursue a career in finance so should i focus on dsa for next semesters or try development also .

Advice for first year

I am currently working as a front end engineer (ReactJS) in an Indian Service based company. I have a pretty solid front end knowledge. My end goal is to be a full stack developer. So I was about to start backend engineering. But also I want to switch to a nice product based company (end goal is ofcourse MAANG type company). 
Currently I have 1+ years of experience.
It's not like I don't enjoy DSA, I enjoyed Development over DSA. My DSA skill is very basic for now (I know arrays, hashmap, two pointers thats all)
So My question is when to start DSA?
Because If I start DSA now then I need to at least give 1 year to DSA. But then I will not be able to do Backend.
Most people also say not to do dev and dsa in parallel.
So suggest something to me.
Should I do Backend first then do DSA or
Should I do DSA then do dev
Or should I do both at the same time??

I know I need to invest 3 to 4 hours daily if I need to be a full stack engineer with strong DSA skill. I am ready to be in discipline.

Right time to start DSA

I have 6 YOE as QA. First 3 years I was into manual testing and now since past 3 years, I am an SDET with tech stack- python, pytest , playwright, selenium. I am planning for the job switch now. I have not used much of DSA in my work. However I understand DSA is a must to clear interviews.

I am a full stack developer with 2.5 years of experience currently working at a global MNV. My current skill set includes java, angular, spring boot framework. 

I am planning for a switch. I read on the internet that to crack a MAANG or some company of that level you need to have a good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms(DSA).

How to start with DSA preparation. I see there are a lot of resources. I feel overwhelmed by seeing all of them.

Currently I don't have a job and to be honest I haven't done that much DSA to get a job, so its a request from you guys to help me out that is it too late to start now? 
I know I am responsible for this thing but I can't sit disheartened and not do anything I still have time till june untill I graduate. Can you guys help me find a path and consistency to get a job as a SDE. I have very less DSA knowledge just know the basics which isn't enough but I am now practicing and learning daily to skill up, will I be able to learn that much to get a job or internship till june. 
If you guys have opening in your company maybe you can give me a referral or something I have the willingness and motivation to do something and learn also I have a strong resume and internship experience in a big company.

I’m a college grad from IIT in CSE. I haven’t done any competitive coding or any proper coding during my college days for that matter. I have lost confidence in myself for some reason. I had taken up a business job but left it in a few months because I thought I could do better. 
I want to do competitive coding but as soon as I open my laptop, anxiety kicks in. 
I need guidance on how to proceed and what recourses should I use. 
I don’t want to waste my degree as I feel I can do better than my previous job.

Confused about how to proceed in life

( RANT ) 
Currently in my 2nd year of engineering in a good college in Bangalore . I am worrying a lot about career , my day starts with thinking about interships, skills, studies and ends with which career to pursue , startups / big MNC . All my day I am worrying. I know this should not be the case but I can't help , nobody around me are thinking about future, I can't discuss with anyone, they just chill and enjoy. 
Has they are from CS / EC , there placements are secured which is not the case with me. 
I know I should be focused on CGPA and skills ,but these thoughts scare me a lot , I don't know where should I focus on , which direction I should start working, no guidance, nothing.
like this only 2022 passed. I have plans to pursue MBA .

Hey guys, just need your advice I have been 5 years of experience at startups and have open source contributions too and now I want to switch to some good product based companies including FAANG with some good WLB.

I am well versed with topics but I am not very sincere with doing DSA and leetcode regularly. I haven’t practiced daily and now I am looking to do it, but I lack motivation and get frustrated easily.

I am thinking to do a DSA course on weekends, will that be good? Any advice is recommended.

Hello everyone;

I need your help. I am a Computer Science student about to reach my final year in the coming two months. I heard that we will be having placements in July and the competition is fierce since there are thousands and thousands of students looking for job/internship.

Till date; I have done frontend development and I am good with HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. I know theoratical portion of JavaScript and jQuery but get stuck when told to implement logic in problem solving. [I also know React.js but very basic like routing, states and props, etc. since I was not able to give much time to it]

Addtionally; I also did a 3month internship in this domain and know how to get the work done but technical interview may become a problem. [I got this opportunity through referral]

I will be having my End Sem exams next week and it will go on for 10-12days. After that; I will be able to give full-time to learning and will have probably 1 or 1.5 month to upskill myself.

I am planning to do DSA and Full-Stack Development so can anyone guide me on how can I become capable to compete and outperform my peers?

It's just that I think I have wasted my 3 years of college and have fear that I won't be placed since I am lagging so much.

I am a JAVA backend dev, currently in TCS with 5.5 yrs of exp. I want to switch to a Product now. My dev skills are good. I have worked in few projects. With this many years of exp, the expectations are too high now, System Design, Kafka, Jenkins, Docker and DSA on top of that. I don't know how to start, once I start preparing DSA I feel like I am missing on reading system design and other stuff. Also, I don't feel confident about my DSA skills. Hello I'm 22F a 4th year student from a tier 3 college. I got placed on campus in a very small scale startup for 6.5 lpa but the internship period was of 9 months at 15k per month in blr. Now they have announced that they won't be giving PPO to us. My internship is ending in March 2024 before that I need to get into a new job. But all the openings are low paying i.e. 3 or 4lpa jobs and I'm in doubt with my DSA skills. I need someone who can mentor me on this path. I've worked on mostly Java, Springboot, Automation testing and C++. 
How should I prepare along with my internship in this 2 months?

I am currently in my 3rd yr. I'm about to give my 5th semester end sem exams. Till now I haven't done any coding as of now. I was only enjoying college life with friends. Not blaming but there is no coding culture in my college and I myself was also not aware about the market. Now I realised that I have done a big blunder. What should I do first now? I started learning Java during the Diwali holidays and I'm half way down. Pls tell me a roadmap so that by the end of 3rd yr at least I have a good internship in hand. As after such time I have been trying to learn DSa thoroughly but the topics seems very difficult some time or I forgot things had to visit again and again. These things making it very difficult to maintain consistency and regularity in learning. At times it feels to leave the thought of applying at faang. Have any solutions or similar issues?.
