Need help from Indie Developers

Hi, I am a computer science graduate and I wanted to know the best way to learn backend coding to build and deploy APIs on an ec2 or equivalent service. I think i didn't get too much exposure in college so I want a guided course that I can watch and do every night for 30 mins over 2 months so that I can learn this. I currently understand data structures etc. but can't build anything end to end. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'll go with the option that has the highest upvotes and backed by reasoning.

I’ve been wanting to build something on my own, I have built and hosted a few apps. But I couldn’t scale as much as I would have liked. I have contemplated on running a startup but I don’t have any trusted team member to support me. Building software apps is my passion. I want take benefit of my passion to make money. Is freelancing a good option to do so? Share your experiences, if any. Would love to hear ideas on how I can convert my passion of building apps (both web app & mobile app) to make money. PS: I am at a full time job and I’m looking for a side hustle.

I have full stack development experience and I still code. I work with a product company on healthcare domain. I want to build something solo as a side hustle. And with the tech knowledge I have acquired, I am 100% confident I can build it. I’ve already gathered some mobile app/platform ideas and have been working on a few of them. Doing some research as well. The thing I lack is a strategy and direction to reach prospective users. I have no idea about how startups operate. I have never been into freelancing either. I know nothing about regulations and law. I have only a limited knowledge about investment. My short term plan is to finish building some MVP features of the apps and publish them to Playstore/AppStore. (I’m sorry, I do not wish to reveal the ideas now) How to reach users 0-1, 1-10 and 10-100? How should I plan financially? Isn’t it possible to go solo? I have someone in the US who has agreed to help me in coding. But he has only 2 years of experience. One advantage is he can give me US insights. I don’t want to induct more members as no one is ready for commitment. Or people just back out even after committing to it. Btw, I am not active on social media. My network in the internet world with people isn’t great. I’m seeking advice from you guys on areas that I need to consider to make my app/platform grow. All this, is going to be side hustle.

I have an idea for an app, which I would like to develop on the sides and do some beta testing and figure out if its scalable. However, I am not a tech guy and do not have idea about app development. Looking for suggestions on how to go about it. Learn app development from scratch or reach out for help? How long would it take to learn from scratch vs how much would it cost to get a beta version made?

I'm a final year industrial design student and throughout the course, we've been trained to conduct user research in effective ways, come up with new products (physical or digital) and also advertise the product. I'd say, we've been trained more on how to be a successful entrepreneur than a designer. However, now that there's a brief idea about what we have learnt, the biggest hurdle that is extremely common in our field, is a lack of skillset required for entrepreneurship in today's world. We have come up with ideas for multiple startups throughout the span of 3-4 years. We're a group of 3 designers, 2 of us who are industrial designers, we usually do all the brainstorming and define the direction of the entire startup. The other guy is a UI/UX designer, who helps us come out with the most effective interface and build a semi working prototype on softwares like Figma. But it always just stops there. We, being designers, we learn multiple softwares that cater specifically to design. But when it comes to this, none of us know how to code and actually bring it to life. That's the biggest challenge we're facing right now, because we know we need to find a developer, but we don't know how to and where to approach any of them. This has been going on for over a year. It would really be appreciated if anyone could suggest platforms that help us connect to like minded developers and are willing to take part in building a startup from scratch rather than just interning or working for one.

Want to create some open-source software. If anyone can guide me how to start building the community or some basic knowhow of building from any prior knowledge, then that would be very helpful. I have decent amount of experience but not in developing oss. TIA

Hello Peeps, I used to work in python only for data though. Currently learning django to help me write the code for my idea. I'm working on an idea that would mostly be a web app. Users can perform actions on the webpage. Imagine interacting with screens and they would just be images, I'd write the other custom logics. Any recommendations for the tech stack I should learn?
