Need some legal advice

There's a clause in my offer letter mentioning I won't be paid for the entirety of my notice period until my exit date. Unfortunately due to problems in my previous company, I didn't go through that section properly and agreed to it. I wanted to ask if it's legal first and if not, what options do I have?

Normal practice, some places hold only one month salary. If money is needed, share your needs with manager, sometime excpetions are made

Sure but even for three months?

As per your post it seems this will be the case

I have faced this in the MNC I worked at. Got the salary for that duration paid in my F&F settlement which came weeks after my LWD - looks like a normal practice. You have to prepare/save money for those months expenses beforehand.

In the startup I worked at they paid salary on time for the 1st month of notice period - last month of (2 months) was paid with the quick FnF settlement after LWD.

Very common.

You will get everything though as part of your Full n Final settlement. Just that it will be delayed till 1 month after you exit. Some pain if you don't have a corpus for 2-3 months. But I doubt that?

PS my notice period is for three months
