For mobile development I feel, you wouldn’t have any DSA round. I joined at entry level there was no DSA round and recently also I shadowed a few interviews there is no DSA. 
 Just in case they ask I can say it will be easy. Or more from code structure and SOLID principles stand point

Okay Thanks got it. But let's assume for the worst case scenario, if you were the interviewer would you mind me using c++ or let me use compiler with suggestion. I am good with DSA, so DSA don't bother me. But writing Swift without auto suggestion surely does.

Even if they ask it will be no issue with the language you are using. Take a chill pill focus on the iOS understanding. Mostly be aware of what you are using why you are using.

I am good with c++ as well and I won't need any autocorrect and suggestions in c++. If you are interviewer would you mind me using c++. Given i will make you understand the solution and also would like to explain how it would have been implemented in swift as well. Or should I ask them googling some swift syntax. I know how it should be implemented but sometimes I mess up in function parameters

I did DSA in c++ and I work in java springboot. So can I do coding in c++ not in java. Is there any problem will arise if I want to switch company and in interview if interviewer asked to code in java.Have you faced similar problem

I am a Golang Developer, with around 3yr of experience. Previously, in college, I have practiced DSA in C++. Also, I knew some Java which I used while learning OOPS(LLD) in college.

Now since I am considering to switch, I need to revise and practice DSA again.

For the last 3 years I have not touched C++ or Java and I love working in Golang. But, now I am in a dilemma.

Question: Should I try to relearn the syntaxes of C++ for DSA? 

Question: For LLD, since Golang does not support “pure” object oriented programming, should I try to practice those in Java? 

Question: Will it be worth the effort to relearn the syntaxes for the languages I did not use for a long while, for interview preparations?

Does it matter which language I use in interviews to solve DSA questions? My majority of work has been in Java/Python. I have practiced DSA in C++.

Suggestion for Swiggy Interview

So I'm learning DS&A in swift language and it has a variety of built in methods for various data structures e.g. sorted() (returns copy of sorted array). Would it be a problem if I code my solution using these built in features of the language? Or do I need to know the implementation of said features? I know conceptually how things work under the hood but wouldn't necessarily be able to code up every function  and method from scratch (on the spot) when the interview is time bound. In your professional opinion what do you suggest I do - focus on problem solving ?? Focus on implementing every thing required ?? Both? ATM I'm preparing for intern roles

Suggestion for Swiggy aSDE Interview

I don't know c/c++ or even java . Basically any such language which deals with pointers and all. I practice dsa in Javascript. Have worked on mern till now and want to aim for faang level companies.I even planntonlearm golang next. 
I want to ask if shall I learn c c++ etc or continue on my path.

DSA and software engineering without c/c++

Had my 2nd round (PS-DS + Android Fundamentals) with Swiggy for the aSDE role. The interviewer gave a string-based question. After some discussion, I came up with a better, though not optimal, solution. He then asked me to code it in Kotlin. I’ve never practiced DSA in Kotlin, so I asked if I could use Java instead. He said no, wanting to check my proficiency in Kotlin. In the first round, the Machine Coding round, didn't they check my proficiency in building apps using Kotlin? Despite doing well in my Android Fundamentals part and my first-round Machine Coding round, I received a rejection email today. Not sure what these startups expect from freshers.

Shouldn't Problem Solving - Data Structure round be language independent?

I am a C++ developer with 10 yoe in India across Fintech domain.
I am confused should I move to AI/ML/Data Science roles as they are the high paying skills currently.
I am ok to do Scaler or other courses to learn Ml/DS but how easy it is to get into good companies? Will they pay me as fresher or consider my experience.

My other option is to continue in C++ development. But will C++ skill enough to sustain in the market for next 20-25 years? Will it pay me enough? Wont the Oppurtunities decline and very few companies will use C++ for new projects.

Please guide.

I'm a 2nd year student. Teaching myself native iOS app development + algorithmic problem solving + core CS subjects. Now I have exactly 6 months left before the summer internship cycle starts. Turns out there aren't many iOS focused internships out there and I would very much like to future proof my intern prospects. 
What do you ,experienced folks, suggest I learn so that I can not only make decent projects but also contribute and learn while interning. 
Right now I'm inclined towards learning 
Backend development in Java+Spring Boot.
If you have any other suggestions, kindly send them my way. 
Also to the folks who work with Java/Spring Boot, what level of complexity of projects would be the bare minimum to leave a good impression?

What to learn? : Sophomore Edition

Hello Guys, 
I graduated in 2022 and joined my current company (an Indian MNC) where I currently work as an SDE 2 with total CTC of 17LPA (Base 14). I recently completed 2 years in this company. For the first 6 months I was in training, so I have been in my team since last 1.5 years.
The tech stack we use is C++. So for the last 1.5 years I have just been working on C++. We don't use a lot of libraries and have everything developed in house. Memory management, Threads, Data Structures - all are implemented by various teams and are being used. So while I have worked on C++, a lot of it has been using internal libraries. I have mostly worked on implementing some functionality that uses OS calls (Windows and Linux), and some PoCs.

Since I completed 2 years, I was just thinking of my future and I started getting worried. I regret that I wasted a lot of time and right now I don't know what to do. While I have started doing DSA again ,I am very unclear and confused about how to make a job switch, what skills to learn and how to grow.  I'm feeling very low and hopeless. Any guidance will be very helpful.

I am working as a front-end developer in a startup for 2+ years and i want to switch to a different company.

The problem is I have only worked on the frontend in my current job though my designation is SDE in my offer letter. I don't have much knowledge about backend either.While applying for jobs the JD says i should have work experience in backend tech so in this case should I apply to those jobs or not.There are very few job openings for frontend and everyone is asking for full stack.

Will my interviewer asks questions for backend also though I have not worked on it? Or should I only focus on DSA.I have a good knowledge on frontend.
