Hey folks a fresher here. I just got an offer from akamai. How is the company in terms of learning? I have heard a few folks call it a retirement company. Is that true? Is it a good choice to join akamai early in your career. When I try to switch in the future how will Akamai look on the resume. Will startups consider me?

How is Akamai in terms of learning?

I am a fresher working in a fintech startup. I have been here for 2 months but all my work until have been basically upgrading node version and Python version and resolving some tickets in existing repos.

I talked to my manager about whether if the kind of work will change he said for 70% of the time. The work will this only and rewriting so e deprecated code.
Freshers in other teams got development work from day 1 itself. But for them also  they feel the work is kind of repetitive. Building scraper and integrating api again and again. There are some Exception.

Now I recently interviewed at Akamai and got a offer for sde 1. However here the team for which I interviewed was security team and here they say that the tech stack will mostly c/c++ and everything will be network heavy. Python and golang also may be used But most work is in c/c++. Also  the people who interviewed me were  system and security engineers.


Now my question is should I switch to akamai the compensation difference is 3lpa in base and akamai is wfh. Or should I stay here in the startup and try for a team change. (They say they allow you to change the team not sure how long they take).

My aim is to go into backend developer into big techs(not faang necessarily already interned there not as flashy as it looks from outside, i just dont to be in a startup bcoz they have no boundariesfor personal life). And whatever company I choose I plan to leave after 11 months as the work is not of my choice.

The tech stack at startup is python node js.

Which experience would look better on my resume. And If I join akamai will my profile transition into system side??

Hi everyone recently got job offer. And here is the what I'm getting.
Is it good.

Job role : SDE1
Tech stack : Nodejs, React, AWS, DevOps
CCTC: 6.5 all fixed 

Offer CTC : 8 fixed + 4 L ESOP + 1 to 1.5 performance bonus

Is it worth it.

I will be getting another offer 8.5 fixed.

How to negotiate for that.

It's is first switch and I was laid off in Feb.
I'm moderately good at problem solving and have LC : 1600+
CF : 1450+

Please share your view.
I'm really open for suggestions.

Subsequently, also an offer from Fintech PBC.

Tech stack at Startup: Java, Spring, MongoDB 

Tech stack at Fintech PBC: Testing framework and tools

Startup stipend: 25,000 Rs
Fintech PBC stipend: 60,000 Rs

My inclination is more towards the SDE role purely because of the wide exposure while the money at Fintech is too good for now but there is not much room from growth and also with Al taking over

Hey everyone! I'm currently working as a senior analytics guy (overall work experience of ~5.5 years) and am looking for a switch. Here are the 2 options that I have for now:
1. Amazon (BA II) offering a fixed of 32L, to join in Hyderabad for a team where majority people sit out of Seattle.
2. Bolt (a startup based out of Estonia, primarily dealing in ride sharing, food delivery and others) offering ~€70k annually as fixed compensation (relocation sponsored).
Currently a bit confused as I haven't heard really great reviews about Amazon, but at the same time don't know how the move to relocate internationally for the first time will work. Did a light research on salary and cost of living in Estonia, and found out that this is a pretty good number to get. Does anyone have any idea either about how WLB is at Amazon or at Bolt? What would be a better move here?
