Clear indicator that the quality of food might change based on the distance. Mostly due to issues like food not warm enough or cold enough or spillage issue. This will be helpful  
 for restaurants to modify their packing according to distance to make sure the food remains warm or cold or spill free.

This should increase the rating for many restaurants over time if followed.

Zomato came up with Snap like heat map for restaurants

As a Product person, I’m scratching my head looking at this feature and the use case for it. 

“You can see how your food looks like”
-We already have images
-Its not like the portion size is accurate. One can zoom in and out
-Not like this is how much food will look like after the delivery guy revvs his bikes

I get that AR makes sense for things that will stick with you for very long. But food? Its gone in 60 seconds! Why on earth would I want to see how my food looks like on my table?

Just curious, no hate.

Zomato AR feature

Zomato dropped a new feature showing order counter for the day.
For users it might be a number telling what is their order count based on time when they place the order.  Although it Does not add much of user value, just a number. Useful for Deepinder maybe to track how Zomato is performing but not much on user side,after sometime users might not pay attention to this number


But going down the line, if this metrics gets connected with some cashback value based on certain constraints like 1st 10k orders , certain orders count every day etc. Then this can be a pushing factor for more orders for Zomato by building competition around this order counter
Some extra discounts for users also

This is based on an analysis of 24 K reviews on iPhone & Android phones between Jan to Nov 2023 conducted by Clootrack. The results though look a lot skewed as 
Zomato outperforms Swiggy by 3-4X in every parameter, How do you look at these results, Do you agree with this analysis?

Is this an effect of Public Listing?

Feels like bad data analysis by inc 42 team. Or clooktrack. Not all reviews mention each of these parameters and hence how this has been weighted needs to be clarified. Also how the f is food quality on zomato 3x Better than Swiggy?? Both are platforms and should ideally be nearest in this.

@swiggy PMs how are you able to segregate the dishes as 'Desk Friendly' in this feature?

You could have either
1. Given an option to the restaurants to classify. However, this rather makes a false incentive to label for more visibility.
2. Give restaurants to classify a limited number of dishes. This still adds to false positives in the list.
3. Crowdsourcing. I haven't seen anything as such. But it sounds tedious.
4. Some form of ML segregation? But an AI feeds in the images sometimes or so I've heard- which leads to a nasty AI loop.

How is your experience been using eatsure app, I have been using it for one week, prices are much cheaper for same food via Zomato of this cloud kitchen. Good varieties also 
Now coming to in app experiences, I feel it needs a lot of refinement, it send a lot of unnecessary notification till order completion and beyond. Also once you switch from swiggy and zomato in app experience, you can feel the difference and it makes me appreciate the hard work of all the engineers and team to make such seamless experience. I think eat sure can do better and is a good option but it certainly can do better in app experience and PM needs to work to create better user journey in this. Would be happy to know your experiences and how do you see review this app

At one point Swiggy had more money, Zomato was close to bankruptcy. But what is the reason Zomato is ahead today?

Uber designers (or PMs) why are you trying to get rid of the ride search cancel button? Found a ride faster and cheaper ride on Namma Yatri but can't cancel until Uber decides it's ok to do so! 

Won't be surprised if this leads to accidental bookings and shifting the onus on the rider to pay a "cancellation" fee.
