Hi viners,
I am a 23 pass out and I joined an organisation from my college placements, which is a startup in a metro city which works on web dev and web3 domain basically. So in the first 6 months of my internship, I got some exposure of frontend, web3, solidity and then gained interest in backend. Later on when I got full-time offer, was deployed on a US based project where I am working on the profile of a 9 years experienced node js developer as a ghost developer since last 8 months and it has been smooth so far, I have handled most of the things and I am performing well, my manager is also quite impressed with me there but I am not seeing any personal growth or professional growth working there as it has reached kind of a saturation and I am not learning anything new. So, please help me out with some suggestions if you have any?
And also now I am a 1+ years experienced full stack dev with knowledge of web3 and blockchain stack, so any job reccs will also be appreciated, as my priority is to switch as early as possible

Got an offer from one of the top professional IT service companies for a FMCG giant asy client on 3rd party payroll. The role is the exact fit according to my career trajectory. Everything happened within a span of 5 days. Tried bypassing by applying directly but the posting was removed the day I appeared in the first round of the interview. Connecting, cold mail, nothing worked for direct application so I was considering getting a chance through this route. But what's surprising, I was informed within 20 mins of the final evaluation that I was selected - 6 months contract. I need to immediately report at the office in a week - 1.5 months and then I can ask for WFH. Post that contract period, I will be working in the company payroll directly. I have to source a laptop for work, 3P payroll will reimburse the amount, health insurance will be provided by the 3P payroll - said the PoC. When I press about the contract letter and terms, she keeps saying that it's a full time opportunity like I'm slow. I had to clarify the definition to her. All of this completely verbal exchange. They're in a hurry to just get over the formalities. I have documented things clearly to avoid missing anything and they should release the contract letter tomorrow.

Is it even advisable to relocate and work in such a situation?

I am serving my NP. 
I am a full stack dev with expertise in JavaScript + Angular, Node.js, Express.js(MEAN tech stack) with good problem solving skills coupled with automation experience too(BDD, cucumber)

Now when I go thru various company career pages/portals i get to see a lot of openings for Sr. Software engineer i.e. 3+YOE or Java related guys. I am not able to find/very less opening for software engineer roles(that too for JavaScript based)

What can be done? How to optimize my job search, plz share in your inputs. Or if your organization needs someone like me, plz drop a comment let's discuss about my work and skills. Would be happy to connect.

Hi,

I have almost 10 months of experience as software developer in 3 companies one internship, 2 full-time. First 2 was absolutely initial-stage startups, this one is a seed-funded startup. In my current company the culture and the manager is really nice. I work as a backend developer, node, MongoDB, express, genai, auth, etc. tech stack. But the work does not excite me at all, I was enjoying at my previous company a lot more. That was young team, so everyone was new to tech and trying to figure out things and was helpful and collaborative. Here everyone is in their 30s and 40s and I am 23, no one even cares of what I work and how difficulty I am facing in work/team. That's why I fear of losing my job every day and I am still on my probation. So I thought of applying in case I get laid off. I got an interview opportunity at company. I want to ask what should I answer if the interviewer asks me about the frequent switches.

In first company I switched because the company is like 3 people and no funding was received so only 3 more months of money remaining( btw now only the founder left and he is still trying to raise money, my other colleague left too). So what should I give a reason for this potential switch? 

Current perks: 6LPA base. Nothing else.

Have an interview coming up, how to prepare for frequent switching question?

Any company hiring without a DSA interview? Maybe a take home assignment or something like that? 
I do know some DSA from college time but am out of practice and have been working as a full stack dev for 3 years.

Just got laid off. 4/11 in the team are axed stating the roles being redundant. This might also have an impact on other teams as well. It's a small org of a bigger listed Company. All are asked to resign so they can provide 2 months of salary.
I'm not naming the org for anonymity.

Hi everyone , I graduated this year in May from an  IIT but from an earth science branch . I have around 1 year of experience as an intern in different companies, including as a Japanese AI company . In college, I have a very low GPA ( < 6.5), so on campus was practically impossible ( I did get an offer :) ) .In my final semester, I worked at a service based company based out of Germany as an intern, which hired indian devs ( you know why ).

So, I got an offer from them around 20 LPA( all base) remote. Culture is good, no micromanagement or odd working hours, and people are helpful. I work around 45 hours per week .But They have fried 4 dev in the last 3 months citing 'lack of ownership'. I tried to get an offer from other companies but couldn't find much success due to market conditions and branch .I have been working for around 5 months, managing a social app in react native and expo that was created when I was intern . I code and handle other tasks like creating tickets, scoping requirements, and reviewing intern code. I also work on Backend, Database, and a react based web app, too sometimes. 

I have a feeling that as the product is mvp, I am not working on scale, and nobody cares about optimization for all large scales or complex devops,design patterns, or even basic caching . Instead, we really on managed services like codebuild or fargate, which I do handle most of the time

I will ask for suggestions from experienced folks that what should I do in this case should I actively try for new role or put effort in my job. ( Company is encouraging new dev to learn new stuff different from the regular job , for me, it's caching for this quarter )

I have been working in an internal project at a service-based company for almost 3 years now (that's my total YOE) and I feel like I need to move out of my comfort zone. (more so because I've been rotting in my home location since the pandemic). I want to move to a different country and work there (temporary is fine as well)

Can you guys name a few companies that provide onshore opportunities (outside India, preferably European countries) along with the criteria to be deployed on such projects? Please also mention if Visa is arranged by the company or not

Hello viners! I'm a 2023 B.Tech graduate from Tier-1 college. My offer has been delayed so I'm looking for software engineering opportunities, both full-time or internship would do. I looked a lot on LinkedIn and other job boards but most of the openings have a min. 1 year experience required.

Hi, 
I have 5 YoE and I am currently working at a small company doing backend and infrastructure development. My current comp is 60L pre tax. I am looking for a change and I have an offer from zscaler.

The offer is for 38L pretax+10L stocks every year. The compensation is low but work will be interesting for me. Should I join them? 

The one huge downside is 90d notice period they have. I am inclined to join but deathly worried about 90d notice period.


An alternative is, I keep practicing leetcode, apply to bigger companies in the next 6-12 months and join them instead of zscaler. 


What should I do ? Please suggest
