Short rant - I stay in HSR layout , my housemate told me to find a place to stay since he would be getting his wife here ( he gave me ample time to search) , I found an uncle in the same building who offered to sublet his house to stay alongside his son , it was all peace and mutually understood to split any expenses. I was all good and happy , got the room painted and shifted all my belongings. 2 days later , this uncle straight up came up to me and said I have to vacate the place asap , owner is creating a fuss ,I asked him for the owners contact , he denied outright , and kept giving reasons. He now expects me to leave me home within a week ( how tf am I supposed to find a place within a week, my parents got involved and spoke to the uncle but no avail , he's been verbally abusive and illogical) 
Never trust people here , always have things in writing , you never know who turns out to be a snake. ( My sheer naivety has made me suffer now),be extremely careful out there!

Finally got an offer after 6 months but should I take it?

I'm a 2022 grad. Got an FTE offer from WITCH after completing their internship. I waited for them to onboard me after graduating, but after a few months, they revoked my offer. So, I started applying everywhere, grinded Leetcode & did some open-source contributions. 

After 6000 applications and 100 interviews, I finally got an offer today. 100% hike as compared to my previous FTE offer. It's from a small firm in Delhi, I've to relocate since it's WFO. Had a chat with the founder. He was a very nice guy & pretty frank. Said I would be working on their own product, so it won't be like working in WITCH (Client Projects) or FAANG (Latest Tech). I would've to take ownership of modules. Told me I should think about the offer & take a concerned decision. Role is FE (React).

So, should I take their offer? I have 2 other interviews lined up this week. Both of them would be around 120% hike if I cleared them.

Had a weird job interview experience a few days ago, for a pretty senior-ish PM position. This was the first round interview with the team after a basic recruiter round.

Hiring manager joins the call on his phone with camera off. Sure no problem. 

He was presumably on AirPods with terrible sound quality, and his internet connection was terrible too. I could hear 2 out of 5 words.

I pointed it out immediately, thinking that he would change his internet connection or something. But it continued throughout the interview. 

I kept telling him that I can't hear him to either repeat himself or point out that its his internet connection. 

This ended up breaking the flow of the conversation.

He turned on video during the interview, I even told him to switch off his video to improve the quality. Barely improved even then. 

Still told him that I can't hear him. He even changed his room to see if it helped. Didn’t. He should've been embarrassed by now? 

He didn’t suggest an alternative — to move to a phone call or reschedule later, wondering whether I should have. I've never faced this before, so didn’t know what was appropriate.

Then towards the end, puts on his video again and I see that he is eating something. 💀 

I don’t know if this is normal???

If he was so busy, he could've possibly rescheduled instead of wasting both our time. He chose the time. 

I know it's an employer's market, but how bad is it?
