Pay parity - Tech Mahindra
I am and Android application developer with 10 years of experience. I am working in Tech Mahindra since 2017 Oct. They are paying me just 9LPA , paying 18 approx to new joinees with half of my experience. Management assured me that my salary would be revised but it didn't. I am sad about what happened to me.
Company understood you are a loyal idiot who would work at a low salary. Most common mistake in corporate. Please love your work, not your company.

(Shouldn't have waited 10 years, if we are underpaid compared to the average market salary, we need to take action.)
But good that atleast now you realised and are taking action. Could have been worse, you could have gotten laid off or pay cut.
The right approach once we realise we're underpaid would be to talk to our managers about our salary expectation and in order to get there discuss what is expected from our side. We should conclude that discussion by saying that we will try to achieve these goals, but we will also start applying to other companies. Due to the market average being higher than current salary for our skills.
Honestly try to achieve those goals within 3 months, (but also start looking for offers parallely)
After 3 months if our company does not match our expectations even after we reach the goals then time to say good bye, hopefully we would also have another offer in hand.
