Perplexity is kind of OG in this space. Ashish Vaswani, the man behind transformers architecture has been instrumental for supporting the initial takeoff of perplexity. The team is some of the brilliant scientists who worked on groundbreaking research. It's just the beginning for perplexity, I guess.
Yeah, I read more about it and was pleasantly surprised. People like Yan LeCunn and Soumith Chintala have vouched for them, which in itself tells a lot I guess.
Anybody can help how it's better?? I installed and used it . I noticed they references which they used to answer something which is a good feature not in gpt but besides that whats the usp ?
It's basically a 'better way' to look for answers/browse web. Rather than you manually going through a bunch of websites, you can simply search it on perp. It will summarise the results it finds and also provide references which is a really good thing. Don't quote me on this tho, I've only used it like 2-3 times
