I am planning a family trip in July end with family. We are planning to go to both Singapore and Bali, not sure about both.
I have a couple of questions.

- Should I do currency exchange in India or in Singapore/Bali.
- Is it the best time to visit Singapore/Bali.
- What might be the best route to visit them? From Delhi to Singapore then Bali, then back to Delhi or from Delhi to Bali and then in return visit Singapore
- Best hotels to stay and places to visit

It would be really helpful if someone could help me with the same.

Been dreaming of taking the wife and kid on a trip for ages, and Japan has always been our dream destination. We're thinking about going sometime in October or November this year for a week-long adventure.

This is our first international trip ever,Should we go with a travel package or try to plan everything ourselves?

We're also on a budget, so any tips on keeping things affordable in Japan would be a lifesaver!  Speaking of budgets, does anyone have a rough estimate of how much a trip to Japan for a family of three (including flights!) might cost?

Reddit hasn't been helpful, so here goes nothing. I, a 24 yo single child with over protective parents who jas never let me go on trips until last year, have decided to go on a community trip. it is via one of those Instagram pages who take a bus full of people to remote treks, have all the rooms+food+expenses covered in one fee. they will be going to tirthan valley and its a 3days trip.

i have mixed emotions. i am feeling excited, adventurous, a bit raunchy and a whole lot of scared and conscious. The crime patrol and delhi crimes have ruined a lot of dreams for me, and have made my parents downright paranoid. i have recently been feeling like a kid who gets everything from someone else and don't know how to survive on my own, so want to close my eyes a bit, trust the world and take this adventurous trip

Well that's the post. I have been to trips with my parents and friends, so i will probably figure out what to take or not take. I don't wanna ask you, the audience to share some advice or be my damsel in distress but this step is scary, exciting and full of unknowns so just shared my thoughts. I will appreciate your thoughts on this too

Need a suggestion, I am currently working as a cloud support engineer with AWS.

1. I am planning to move to Australia, especially for a better lifestyle and a better future for kids. 

2. I am not considering moving to Australia with AWS(If AWS send, that would be perfect) but at present it would be on my own.

Question that I have:-

1. Is anyone already working in Australia that could suggest if this would be a wise decision? I am expecting a salary range between 120K-150K. 

2. Or any other insight on this?

So I was planning a trip with my friends, and planning took more time than the total trip. I was in charge of the trip, everyone wanted to do different things, we had limited time, constant arguments before leaving. The budget was not an issue. But I was just fed up. 

However the trip was good, we enjoyed it a lot. But planning was a mess.

The number of times I've heard people say shit like 'traveling makes you grow as a person'. Someone please specify what this growth looks like because I've never experienced it.

I don't think traveling is life-changing. I think most people have a romanticized, cinema-like idea of traveling that has been exaggerated even more because of social media. 

It definitely is fun to go on a vacation. But in most cases, that's all it is -- a source of entertainment. Maybe an ice-breaker the next time you go to some pretentious party.

I have worked hard to have a stellar profile (tier 2 Engineering graduate and tier 1 MBA graduate). I have 2 years of pre-MBA experience and will be completing 1 year post-MBA in a few months, at which point i plan on putting in my papers. Being in this rat race has taken it's toll. I am depressed and dread logging into work everyday. It's come to a point where every small task feels like a burden. I have decent amount of savings and I can support myself during the time off. My parents and friends don't seem very excited by this decision of mine, but they are not in my shoes and do not understand what I am feeling.
