Preparing for GATE ECE is it worth it ?
Hi fellow Viners I am new grad '23 Passout Electronics student Starting to Prepare for Gate Exams Electronics Stream Is it worth it ? I hear a lot of rumors in LinkedIn that it's not worth to do master' s Hope any suggestions with people in that fields Happy New year in Advance ☺️
Depends a lot on where you did your Btech, and how does the current job scope looks like.
Did it from a Tier 3 College

Go for it then.
The stipend is decent as well.
Make sure you practice DSA and leetcode right after GATE ends. Placements and internships arrive before you hardly blink.
if you have no financial burden, go for it. Experience at IITs are of a next level. For master's TA work will boost your confidence and By the time you sit for placement, the recession part will be gone but yeah its hectic academically but you won't regret it if you work hard.
I have to pay students loan of around 8L
And dependent family my father lives with me in banglore so rental and everything it's hard for me I guess to do it
Continue your job and switch to dev roles ASAP, do not look on company name, pay initially and the wlb, once in dev start looking for better company and better pay immediately. Do not get attached to any company you work.
