I usually prefer to have a good fixed component as RSUs/ESOPs tend to loose if you don’t complete the tenure in an org. And generally folks tend to switch in 2 years or so which results in loss of remaining unvested RSUs/ESOPs.
Your fixed component has a limit wrt YOE and designation so usually it increases.
