Remote job → Socializing

Remote job is boring as hell, anyone interested in a conversation?

Working remote since 2019. For an introvert staying away from family it has worked wonders:

  1. Get more time to spend with family and friends- spend 3-4 month away in different cities
  2. Visit office for events or when I feel like meeting folks.
  3. Super productive with focused work at home. Can stay away from office gossip and politics
  4. Can plan the day better; get more sleep, take afternoon naps, take breaks when you feel the need, etc.

You can also interact with fellow coworkers over planned chai/coffee sessions. Plan trips to their cities to meet in person.

It all comes down to your personality and company culture. Some folks thrive in office and some at remote.

Fellow introvert here. I was 3x more productive while working remotely from 2020-22. I socialized with friends but I never really cared to socialize with co-workers. We used to meet once a month thats it. Now, we were forced RTO and to my surprise no one socializes here. We're just running around fidning meeting rooms everyday. If this is what socializing is, then I'd have rather worked remotely.

Is remote job better than WFO
