Building a new deisgn system referring to angular documentation  is not feasible right.?

So iam working as a designer In a company without much deisgn maturity. My development team have  decided to use angular material and no any other ui frameworks . But I can't find any figma kits from angular material 2. Whatever that exist is of material 3 that too incomplete version.

Now how do I solve this.?material  don't give any kits for web apps. Even in guidline it's for mobile and  tablets.

What should I do ? Should I create a deisgn system looking angular material, but that would require lot ifbtime right?

Hey everyone, I am a Junior FE Dev (from my prev work title coz my exp is 1YoE). Have been working extensively on React.JS and Redux. My previous company was great. I was loving it. Sadly a few months ago, I was laid off. I still don't know the reason behind why I was one of the laid off people. Anyway, I moved on from that depression and started searching for a new job from last month. Made it to final rounds in pretty much every interview I sat for. But then got rejected in final round for crazy reasons including "we currently don't have funds to hire you". One of them even said they are on hiring freeze, literally in the final round 🥲. 

Haven't been able to get a job anywhere. I don't know if my skills aren't enough to be hired or is it something else. "What's hot in FE right now ? Like what skills can fetch me a job ?" - Started asking this myself as well as some of my good friends, but they say don't learn skills for getting job, learn it for yourself. Though it's true, I don't have much savings to support myself for atleast a month. So, I have to get into a job to keep myself from going bonkers under the financial crunch that I can clearly see ahead of myself if I stay unemployed in the next 20 days.

Yes, the tech market is in its winter season. I understand that, but I still see there are so many openings in the market for ppl with 1YoE like me and skillset that matches mine, yet I never hear back from them or just get rejected in final rounds 😕.

I'm absolutely clueless on what to do right now. Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Do u need to be natural  gifted to be a product designer?

Off late, the frontend engineering at Razorpay has become more of a data entry job. The design system (god knows how many years it will take to be completely ready) is restricting both the devs and the designers a LOT. Designers are literally fed up with being dictated to design things only in a particular way (limiting even animations, font-size, choice of italics v/s bold). There was even a long 2 month discussion to get font size for a component to support higher value, if you honestly want to know. 

The so called core team has been developing blade since God knows when. Agree that they've done a great work with tokens and other stuff, but it seems that by the time it's ready, it'll already be outdated design wise (suxs).

So, any other devs, all they have to do is follows.

1. Open Figma
2. See if the component in Figma is supported by Blade.
3. If yes, then see if our designer has by mistake used any font-size, color, margin or spacing not supported by Blade.
4. If yes, start a thread between everyone and give them a month to come to a resolution (Blade team always retaliates like it's a personal attack)
5. Eventually end up using your own component to save time and move fast.
6. Explain to your manager's manager's manager why you can't use Blade. (they've funded it for 2 years and no dev likes it, so they push it from top)

I work for a private sector bank in India as a product manager. The bank is still lagging behind in terms of tools and softwares. We never use JIRA, Power BI or any other commonly used tools/software in product management. It is largely MS Excel,word or Powerpoint driven. Though the story is pretty much same for all Indian banks but I want to upskill and be confident enough to interview for any PM role outside of banking.
Please suggest what should be my upskill path and how do I stay competitive.

I don't know if it's the company I'm working at, or the projects I'm working on or it's my ADHD but I feel I don't enjoy UI/UX. I feel I lack the trait where one gives tiny attention to details as I have 'chalega / chaltha hai' attitude. I also realized I hate sitting in front of the screen for long hours. I loved physical product design and had to switch to digital product design due to circumstances that were not in control.
I honestly don't understand computers much. I neither enjoy designing app interactions, think about the business aspect of the UI / UX, metrics etc. I sometimes feel like this field isn't for me and I don't know why.

I neither have the privilege's to switch to a new field. I am a slow learner and I admit that I don't have a sharp mind - thanks to ADD. I am 30 YO and I feel like a 22 year old college grad. 
I have responsibilities on my shoulders and I can't take a break, be on a sabbatical, or resign. I have 4 YOE on the paper but I feel like I just have 2 YOE.

All I can do now is to learn things I don't enjoy and love the work I do as I have to work and bring bread on the table. I have been telling I will switch since 2-3 years and I am yet to do it. I've noticed that it's all about skills that's stopping me. I feel lethargic and bored to learn something new that I feel is though, boring or something that takes me lot of time to learn. Since the last 4 years, I haven't designed a since mobile app screen and I have been in the comfort zone of just designing for desktops. I feel intimidated by seeing apps screenshots in Mobbin and realizing that UI design is a craft that takes learn to learn, I just procrastinate learning app UI design.

My pay is low to live a comfortable life in a tier 1 city.  I need to switch to a different company. I lack UI design skills and hence I lack confidence in myself. I regret wasting my time and at the same time, find the process of learning UI design tough. How do I overcome this?

that's it, that's the post. i believe non technical product designers shouldn't exist. i hate myself sm after working with this guy. he claims to have 10 yoe, gets paid 1.5x more than me and have 0 technical knowledge. every single design he makes which i have to code is filled with insane things that makes me want to bash my head on the desk.

While I can sort out the end to end implementation from engineer side of things, currently struggling with “designers block” (not sure if that’s a thing, but you get my point).

I have very basic design, but i feel a good design can bring the app to life. Here are my thoughts- 


- Tried looking on dribble but mostly people leave one or two screenshots and that too without the figma/prototype. 

- where do you guys take inspiration from while working on any new idea?

- Considering I want to hire someone, what would be an approximate cost of an app of 8-10 screens. (apologies in advance, this might sound stupid but not sure how designer charge)

- Considering I want to learn/improve stuff, where do i start? have worked with figma and xd in past, can draft an average UI.
