The way I see it, it's pointless to pursue higher education when the market's bad unless you have a very specific goal. In most cases, a master's degree gives you a boost immediately after the degree. If you can't maximize your options immediately after your course ends, it'll be much harder to leverage it a few years down the line. Careers don't grow linearly. You want to stack as many multipliers as possible. What do you think?

Am currently in a circuital branch of a nit (graduating in 2025) preparing for tech jobs , not one of those brilliant minds , okayish on leetcode trying to cover major dsa topics and important questions. But everyday I keep hearing about layoffs, AI, recession, cost cutting etc Should I do something different, should I keep preparing for tech jobs or I should shift to core jobs or GATE, really confused !!

I am an undergrad student in the 4th year of Computer science and engineering degree, I'm a bit worried about the current scenario where jobs are getting scarce. I would like some suggestions on what type of skills I should learn to keep up with the demands and what type of roles or companies I should aim for. And any other suggestions for getting an internship are welcome.

Is it time we should start thinking about other than IT as there are uncertainty around jobs and Indians are easy targets for any recession. Not every layoff is due to bad performance but it is a layoff indeed. To avoid such dilemma and fear, should we move out of country or IT?

I'm thinking that I haven't utilised my full potential and left behind from folks around me . Right now I'm 27 and earning 22LPA as an SDE. I'm constantly worried how can I earn better or make some skills which can bring some money too as IT industry is not stable. So what could be best for me to do : My strong point is if I focus on one thing I can put more efforts into that work. The options that I could think: 1. Work on my tech skills and get into High paying IT job . 2. Pick one Govt exam and get any govt job . I'm thinking of SEBI grade A exam . 3. Pick up any skills like video editing start freelancing. 4.Prepare for MBA that might help me in longer run in corporate . Guys can you suggest which one area should I select and why . As if I focus on more than one I won't be able to fullfill any.

I was wondering if a person with 12 years and above experience in a manager position with a consulting firm or a product manager in a product firm should opt for an Executive MBA? Will it add more finesse to the person's career skills or is it just for the sake of a tag?

Is the tech. industry declining? What should the newcomers know before opting for this particular career path? Is there anything to fear about? A hype about the tech. jobs in society and especially in families of students choosing their career has made me ask this question. I hope a clear discussion with people who actually know about it will help.

Guys, To be honest, I initially didn't have any intention of leaving India, but due to certain ongoing issues, I'm now considering pursuing an MBA or MS abroad. Here's my background: I completed my engineering degree with average academic performance, not being a top achiever. I have four years of work experience in Finance and as a Growth Manager at Fintech companies. Now, I'm contemplating gaining more skills through a degree and job abroad. What steps should I follow, and do you have any recommendations? Additionally, which exams do I need to clear for this?

Hi, I am a final year B.Tech student from Tier 1.5 college. Finding my way hard through SDE opportunities. I was thinking of going for Product Roles (Management/Analyst/Consultant). I have good business acumen and worked in management, content creation fields in college societies, but how can I enter into Product roles. Please help me guide through what steps I should be taking regarding preparing my resume, LinkedIn profile, applying to off-campus opportunities(domestic/abroad). Any inputs appreciated 🙏🙏
