Company policies differ, I have seen this earlier as well. You can only request them to consider releasing half the salary to meet your financial obligations. But tell me one thing - how is your September salary not paid till 27th October?

After raising my concerns, they informed me that they would place one month's salary on hold for employees who are on notice.

Is this policy also being applied to other employees?

I find this to be an unacceptable practice.

So, I've been struggling mentally from this company for the past few months due to their toxic policies and resigned last week! They didn't pay the retention bonus that was supposed to be paid in June stating the financial situation and now forcing me to complete the notice period also!(2 months) which is there in the contract but mentally I'm burnt out and have said the same to CTO as well as HR but they don't want to understand! I'm also unsure whether the salary of these notice period months will come( this company has a history of not paying) so, skeptikal in the serving notice period knowing I won't get any money.

I want to have a lawyer who can go through my employment contract so I understand better the options I have with me!

I'm a 2021 graduate from a tier 3 college. I was working at a small startup based in Bengaluru that is into SAAS. The headcount is less than 20 and a completely remote job.

I don't have any notice period. I was told that I can leave the company whenever I want without any prior notice. And it's not mentioned anywhere in the contract. I had a promotion due in September 2022 in which the new agreement was supposed to be implemented where I had to serve a 90 day notice period and salary hike of 15% of my current CTC.

But the promotion was put on hold till now. I asked them multiple times but I was told that it's on hold indefinitely due to "shortage of funds".

On December 31st I sent a resignation letter as it will be my last working day. Even though it was a very short notice, I completed all the documentation about the things I worked on. Anyone who can understand English can deploy the entire product. And moreover everyone had worked on the product and almost everyone had a good understanding of the product. 

Sometime in 2021, I received a bonus of 62k which was sent to my personal bank account (the company itself didn't have a corporate account back then). Since the company didn't provide me any work laptop, I was told casually that I can use the bonus to purchase a new laptop or keep it to myself.

I made a mistake of now waiting to get the December month salary before resigning. Now he's telling me that the bonus he sent is for the company laptop and it will be adjusted as my December month salary. When I asked about the purpose of the bonus was not to get the company laptop but to keep it myself, he's refusing to accept it. (Almost everyone in the company uses their personal laptop).

And coincidentally there was a service outage as the company uses free services wherever available (for example, oracle cloud free tier, free version of slack, GitHub and lot more). Continued in comments....

I work in an IT service company in Pune, Maharashtra which I joined on 1st Nov 2021. In my offer letter notice period is mentioned as 60 days. 1 month after joining the company, management decided to change the notice period to 90 days as a company policy for each employee.

But during that, they asked for our consent which I did not give. I have it in an email as well from an HR help desk that I'll have to serve 60 days of the notice period.

But still, when I want to resign they're asking me to serve 90 days of the notice period.

 I talked to HR about this and they said each employee was contacted personally by HR and was given an option either agree to the policy change or resign within a week. Now the problem is there is written communication about this in my inbox from my HR or even an informal message on a company messaging application.

I want to know if it's legal and if can they force me to do it even if my offer letter says 60 days of the notice period.

My employer has this system of group of companies coming under one single startup umbrella. He has been delaying my salary for the last 5months with 2.5months worth of salary still pending. Now I got job outside and wanted to resign as soon as possible now. 

Last month he moved me into a other company inside the group, I signed a new offer letter. But the salary from that company for aug month hasn’t received yet. Now can I resign without mentioned notice period stating that I didn’t received my salary yet?

I was working in a toxic environment, which should be a separate post, too long to explain here, tldr, I was put in pip, and then I resigned and put my notice, I like a responsible employee started finishing off my projects and tasks, giving KTs to other folks and junior. but now after this my company is saying ur lwd is 2 days from now, when in my contract notice is 2 months, HR says company has the right to waive off notice period without paying severance. What can I do currently, I don't have any job back up, so have to be unemployed for a while without any severance. Is this legally right from company sides, what possible things can I do currently?

I resigned on 24th May from my current company. They have 2 months notice period. 
I asked them to reduce it to a month since I’m not in a good place mentally. My grandma (who’s like a parent to me) is really v. sick, she’s lying on her deathbed. So I want to shift back to my hometown and take care of her. I want to go asap. They didn’t hear me at all. And this job has given me so much stress, from past 4-5 days my bp got low, I had high fever. I sent them doctor’s slip. Even then this HR is saying you’ve to abide by the policy. 
And honestly I hate working here, since they have a tool based environment, that is not getting to my head. 
So now I’ve decided to not work at all. Since my health is also not that good. 
Is there any other way they can agree to reduce the notice period? Since I’m really tired of this. 
Also, I hope not working won’t do any harm.

I resigned from capgemini, first week of April and was planning to get an early release. Did my work with utmost sincerity but when I asked them that I won’t be able to work after this prticular date in May, the HR and the manager got so rude and started threatening.

I offered a buy back option but they’re not willing to accept that.

I don’t know how to get out of this shitty organisation but if I’m not able to leave on my desired date… I wanna make the remaining days hell for my manager and the HR

I wanna make them regret every second. 

I need some suggestions, what all things I can do?

I’m on a billable client project and my manager begged me to not tell the client about my resignation.


This 90 days NP is a trap guys. If they gonna fuck my opportunities, I wanna fuck them back.

Today I got a call from the HR team that I've been put on PIP. I have been on Bench for 2 months and they are doing it for Cost cutting. Furthermore they asked me to get a project in 2 months otherwise I have to self resign.

My doubt is if they forced me to resign after 2 months in case I didn't get any interview calls, Will they give me notice period (3 months) salary???

I just had this question in my mind as why the companies hold/delay the salaries to employees and give it back to them after 3-9 days of delay on the new month when the actual salary count is calculated between 1-30/31st of every previous month.

Is there any specific reason?

Back in 2021, I joined a small company as a fresher with a promised CTC of 3.2 LPA and a 3-year bond. However, after joining, I discovered the actual base pay was only 1.8 LPA, and my monthly salary was just 10,500₹. So, after five months, I broke the bond and joined Accenture. 

Now, almost three years later, the previous company's advocates are sending me notices demanding 3 lakh rupees as bond repayment, and I even received a notice from the civil court yesterday. 

I'm not sure what to do next. 
Do you think this will affect my future job prospects? 

I have records of that company in my PF account, but I don't consider it as part of my work experience.

So this happened with me, HR called me if i am interested in Job, I said yes and provided my expected CTC and current CTC. based on that they took my Technical Round which i cleared comfortably. Now in Manager round, the manager said they cannot provide me with my expected CTC and will proceed with HR round only if i am open to negotiation. Whats the use of asking Expected CTC at start if you are not ready to support that salary. Why is manager concerned with salary discussion ? Are HR dead in IBM ?

Senior Consultant, they provided me joining date as 15 july 
Whereas my notice period end on 25 july.
Have ask hr to revise the same he told me , try if you can 
Negotiate the notice period in current org ,if not then drop us
An email after the month will revise the joining date .
Is this normal?

So yesterday my HR reached out to me saying they want me to discontinue the job immediately because they are focusing on cost cutting. While they are hiring team of interns to do the task and eliminating full time employees.


I want to know what are the options available to me as they are not giving any notice to terminate the job while it has written in employment letter that any one of us has to give 30 days notice in written or if I don’t give notice then I have to pay 3 months salary.

Based on the agreement can I ask severance package if they immediately discontinue? What will be the better payment to ask in this scenario? What will be the pros and cons in this situation and how to proceed further?

Previously I worked in Persistent Systems for 2 years. Recently my hr called me to share the screen and resign. They have given me 7 days time to submit laptop and all the assets, leave the company. I just want to understand can't we do anything if they asked to do force resign. Because I have been in this company for 2 years, past 6 months they started doing this for atleast 40 employees per month only from my branch Hyderabad . Now it has become per week because they don't have projects and lot of projects are going to end in few months and already few projects moved out because when I spoked with senior in the company they are saying projects signed for 5 year's contract has now not interested to move. I asked  why because of internal company politics, favouritism, fake and backdoor employees, over commitment due to these projects are not delivered in given deadline. How employees Will look for another oppurtunity in 7 days, also in my case when said to my recruiter that I am laid off they didn't schedule interview call then I changed my plan started saying them that I am having offer of A from x company going to join in next 15 days, then they shared scheduling interview. 
Won't there be any legal action we can take on employer as an employee in this cases.
