There is high risk and no cover available like accidental or normal. You can get more return but life insurance has one benefit.  I am not against MF but LIC should be there

Got an offer, I calculated the tax and it will be around 3L ( currently it was around 1.5L) it's crazy, I don't want to pay 25k each month as tax.
My Gross will be around: 22L
I'm 24, I don't have any health insurance other than the company provided one, no home/education loan.

NPS 80 CCD(1B) is the best low cost option if you can save additional 50k per year. It comes with a long lock-in but since we mostly don’t have jobs with pensions so it’s worth to get lakhs of Rupees when we retire. March is around so if anyone wants to invest quickly and save tax, can message me. Happy to help!

But every year when the tax return filing time comes I run into the same thought - Am I paying too much taxes, is there a way to plan it better?

wanted to get some information on how are you guys managing your taxes.

- How do you plan your finances? investing/Saving/restructuring to avoid paying the maximum taxes? 

- Some people setup a side business to set off some recurring losses/expenses to some extent. Does that work in long term? 

- In terms of wealth generation, what is your strategy? How much you are able to invest? What assets are good in your POV?

P.S. - Before someone comes up with you need to pay taxes so India can grow. I understand your POV but IMO, I am not able to get the benefits/infra in return, but I with all my heart believe in India’s growth story.

I've completed 1 year in my first job. I've tried saving and investing some money, help me decide what I can do better:

Income: 22LPA

PPF: 3 Lakh
EPF: 2 Lakh
MF: 5 Lakh
Saving Account: 4.5 Lakh

Income for new FY post increment: 29LPA

I did these savings based on some advice from my elder brother.

I'd like to spend more this year though, with some travel and going out more, maybe even purchase a scooty/bike and a PS5 😁 - would these expenses be justified?

Apart from improving my savings & investments and 
still being able to afford a few luxuries, I want to know if I should get any of these:

- Health Insurance - Only 5 Lakh cover from company for me and my parents (note - parents are getting old)
- Life Insurance - Do we really need it, I'm still 24?
