This post shudnt be under LinkedIn cringe but I felt no other category fits. Just to spread the awareness about another EdTech scam.

People on LinkedIn posting their off campus experiences, then selling a course in the end, while WILLINGLY not mentioning the date of interview. Some of them even mention on campus experiences without full disclosure. Feels like a major slap in the face for people like us who are struggling in recession. Entirely possible that many of them lie about these experiences too. I respect them for navigating off campus positions and applying and getting jobs, but things were way, way easier back then. To go through bloodbath right now and see those posts, just feels like major tone-deafness on their part. Or maybe I'm salty af (I am).

The bank tried selling me the plan. 1L investment for first 12 years ₹40k return every year for 40 years. Also some death benefit starting from 10L upto 24L depending on maturity. IMO educational, insurance, investment products can drastically change one’s life for better or for worse, so much mis-selling, scamming and shitty sales tactics being done 😐

Hello everyone reading this, quick intro, I am a 2023 graduate from deshbandhu college holding a Bachelor's degree in Science with a major in Mathematics. Started my CAT Prep in august 2023, Left my previous job in november end due to tedious work which was not catering to my long-term goals and now, unfortunately, victim of the current job market.....since the opportunities are not very fulfilling from some time, I moved ahead with continuing my rigorous CAT Prep from january & its going really great....but due to increasing financial problems, i'm now compelled to take up a sales role in a bank's branch....I am not much interested in sales work & it was one of the reasons why I left my previous job.....but, now i'm not much concerned about it.... because i'm being advised to go with the flow for some time & take up any job on the side to manage the household. The thing which concerns me the most is "will working in a sales role or a branch office affect my application in tier-1 b-schools?" Since i'm preparing for tier-1 b-schools only....i see no benefit in doing an mba from tier-2/3 school...neither monetarily nor network-wise. I'm really scared & concerned about taking up this job & my application in b-schools.....kindly help me out....i'm stressed out and this is causing me sleep deprivation..... Thank you everyone for reading this! Suggestions are highly appreciated.

My thesis has been that finance has been made complex deliberately and it isn't rocket science. Would love to hear some madeup complexities.
