Salary Thread: How much do people in Business earn? 💸

As a business graduate, it's often humbling to see the tech salaries based on my YOE (4-7 bracket) with the people at the top end earning 50-60+ lpa. (Fixed) Assuming i want to optimise for Money - What can I do as a business graduate to do well similar to tech folks? Would love to hear from all of you. P.S. No IB/Consulting advice please. Not the type of work I've liked 😄

Current job: Tech consulting, Functional business analyst YoE: 1 post mba, 4.5 pre mba (product marketing manager, startup) MBA from Tier 2 college. Pay: ~14L (wfo/hybrid in b'lore)

Started working in 2017 (Graduation: Tier 2 College) in hand salary: 28K per Month. Worked for 2.5yrs, had big dreams, didn’t knew what to do, how do I 10x my salary, saw my manager 40yrs old earning 25LPA in the same company. Realised I don’t want to do this for the next 20yrs and the reach at 25LPA. Started preparing for UPSC (wanted to make it big) realised within 6 months, this is not my cup of tea, appeared for MBA entrance, cleared the exam joined Tier 1 MBA, post MBA: 25LPA + XX Esops in next two years at 1.2Cr CTC inc ESOPs. Before 2030 plan to achieve FIRE with 8Cr networth. By 2040 make it 100Cr and retire. Chill at beach with beer in hand and two other friends. What’s your story, do share those goldmine inspirational stories!!

Key Account Managers and Business role people, how much are you making? Give your salary breakout. Companies in question: Flipkart, Blinkit (Zomato) , Swiggy, Amazon, Zepto and others which I may have missed.

Young SWE start with double digit salaries, while someone in Non tech will need 5-10 years to reach that level Even the business roles, the direct revenue generating roles don't pay good traditionally Funny how techies think everyone gets paid similar A lot of it changed with startups trying to acquire talent, but not sustainable Because the market simply doesn’t pay How do non tech compete with this skewed demand-supply chain?

Hi, I am currently 22, graduated recently from a tier 2 institute and currently working at a US based startup earning 18lpa ( almost all base ) + rsu's, lately my family have been nagging me to do a postgrad, I am confused weather I should do an MBA, MS or not do a postgrad at all considering the years I will miss in workex. What should be my best course of action considering ROI in the next 10-15 years ?? P.S. Currently I am not sure what my interest lies in, but just try to excel at whatever comes my way.

Why are there so many VP at Black Rock on LinkedIn with comparatively lesser YOE than it usually requires to be VP. Almost every one is 28-32 y.o. and there are 20-30 atleast in the NCR. Very less from IIMs,IITs so we can't discount that. Anyone have any idea? Other than fake profile? Any1 working there have any clue please could you comment on hierarchy or workflow .thanks.
