Business vs Tech Salaries

Young SWE start with double digit salaries, while someone in Non tech will need 5-10 years to reach that level Even the business roles, the direct revenue generating roles don't pay good traditionally Funny how techies think everyone gets paid similar A lot of it changed with startups trying to acquire talent, but not sustainable Because the market simply doesn’t pay How do non tech compete with this skewed demand-supply chain?

Hi, I am currently 22, graduated recently from a tier 2 institute and currently working at a US based startup earning 18lpa ( almost all base ) + rsu's, lately my family have been nagging me to do a postgrad, I am confused weather I should do an MBA, MS or not do a postgrad at all considering the years I will miss in workex. What should be my best course of action considering ROI in the next 10-15 years ?? P.S. Currently I am not sure what my interest lies in, but just try to excel at whatever comes my way.

Started working in 2017 (Graduation: Tier 2 College) in hand salary: 28K per Month. Worked for 2.5yrs, had big dreams, didn’t knew what to do, how do I 10x my salary, saw my manager 40yrs old earning 25LPA in the same company. Realised I don’t want to do this for the next 20yrs and the reach at 25LPA. Started preparing for UPSC (wanted to make it big) realised within 6 months, this is not my cup of tea, appeared for MBA entrance, cleared the exam joined Tier 1 MBA, post MBA: 25LPA + XX Esops in next two years at 1.2Cr CTC inc ESOPs. Before 2030 plan to achieve FIRE with 8Cr networth. By 2040 make it 100Cr and retire. Chill at beach with beer in hand and two other friends. What’s your story, do share those goldmine inspirational stories!!

Hi non tech person here. Wondering how such inflated salaries in tech will survive in comparison to salaries of say marketing or sales in an organisation. The bubble seems to be bursting but will love you know the thoughts of tech people. Should I make a move towards a tech role after learning coding, I have PQE of 6 years in my field and earn decent.

Just wanted to see general sentiment. Coming from a tier 1 clg in du most roles offer between 50-80k base, not including variable. Also do mention the field you've gotten into, thanks.
