Shame on you Zepto!

When an order value is above INR 199, you folks used to deduct the delivery fees automatically. But now, you have made it as a manual option hidden under layers of UI. Do you want your users to keep digging your UI to click and avail the free delivery?

This UI seems fair to me. 1) Delivery fee is useful for running the business, useful for paying salaries to the employees and wages to delivery associates. 2) You are expected to go through the bill breakup before payment. That's your carelessness if you are avoiding that due diligence. I have uninstalled Zepto nevertheless because of poor customer service and inconsistent delivery tracking

Completely stopped using these gimmicky apps. I use Dmart/Reliance Smart bazar monthly 1x,2x for big ticket purchases. For groceries, I call the neighbourhood kirana store, better quality and free home delivery.

Zepto weird (smart) UX

So zepto has a 'Remove' delivery button inside the bill details. This is a very smart way to make money, since this button is situated inside the details part. But on the other hand it feels a bit weird, if I miss opening the details I might have paid 27 rupees more. What are your thoughts?

Swiggy is slowly becoming unusable. They have already increased minimum amount in Instamart for free delivery from 99 to 149 to 199 now. This is really becoming a problem. Is there any other alternative to this? They are slowly showing their true colours now that they are aiming profitability.

I told my mom about what Zepto is doing with fooling users into paying for delivery (despite them buying Z Pass). She realized she's paid delivery across multiple orders, and felt bad. #ScrewYouZepto

Only asshole product folks/leaders can somehow arrive to this decision & thinking. To make the user feel like a fool... this may have made you some ~100 extra rupees from my house, but you're not getting another order again. It just kinda made me sad to realize that she had no idea, and somewhere, some Zepto exec thought that it's fine to do this. A genuine FUCK YOU to Zepto.
