I'm a recent computer science graduate actively seeking internship opportunities in Product Management. I applied for a position at a fintech startup in Bangalore. After successfully passing the HR interview, they presented me with a case study involving an International Airline. My task was to propose and implement features to address the issue, which I complemented with UX designs. I advanced to the next interview round scheduled for last week, but no panel members joined the meeting despite waiting for 20 minutes. I contacted the HR, and they informed me that the panel was occupied and would reschedule. They rescheduled the interview for today at 4 PM, but at 3:50 PM, I received a call from the HR, notifying me that the panel was currently busy and rescheduling it to 6:30 PM. Just now, I received another call stating that the interview will be postponed to 12 PM tomorrow. This is only the initial round, with three more to follow.

I'm curious, is it typical for companies to follow such lengthy and multi-round processes when hiring interns?

Typically I never see an interviewer turn up on time.  I mean it's like you spend an hour or more beating the traffic, and then locating the venue, and then trying to find a place to park your vehicle.  After all the trouble, you find that the interviewer is "busy" so please wait.

Sometimes the wait turns out so annoying, when you see the staff there running around busy or rather "looking busy". No one bothers to answer your query, they are just running around.

Some interviewers just try to bully you. Even when you are right, they are hell bent on proving you are wrong. Of course there are some who will try putting you down as much as they can, to the extent of destroying your confidence. That itself is a red flag never to join that company.

Worst experience I had with TCS, the panel was filled with some old uncles, who kept asking everything except what was related to my field. Yeah once was asked about bridges too.

The walk in drives are the worst of the lot. More often than not chaotic and messy, stand in long Qs, some volunteers trying to look important. And endless wait for your turn. Go to one of them be prepared to spend all day there.

Senior Software Engineer

In 3 months, I will get 4 years experience in software testing field. Previously I worked in a company for 1.5 years as a software tester and in last 2.3 years I'm working in Infosys. I have knowledge in java, python, selenium, testng and soapui testing. I also worked as a manual testing. I worked in JIRA and agile methodology. I'm good at manual testing too.. My current CTC is 5.65lpa. Shall I expect 12lpa in this current market as a 4 year experienced software tester? Is it possible? Let me know if any company can give 12lpa for 4 year experienced software tester.

How to get in to product companies from service based with 5 to 6 years of exp

This was my pathetic interview experience with Acceldata india with a very unprofessional and lying recruiter. This story has a satisfying ending.

I attended 6 rounds of interviews in 1 month and completed a take home assignment. I cleared all the rounds and even had a manager discussion about my onboarding. All good so far. 

Few days later the recruiter called back and said we need one more round (8th round) with the director who sits in US office. I said Ok and he scheduled this call on a Friday 10pm at night. 

At 9:55pm I tried to join the meeting link he sent but the link was not working. I tried in different browsers, different laptop, different internet connection. No luck. 

So I reached out to recruiter on mobile and he doesn't pick up. I know he's available because he was on call with someone else. I even tried reaching him via a different phone number but still no luck. Imagine the anxiety and panic I had to go through since I felt that it was my fault. 

On, next day he casually calls me in the morning to say that "Sorry I tried calling you 2 days ago but your mobile was unreachable (which is a plain lie). He says he cancelled the meeting because he found another candidate with lower salary.

That's fine, and I don't give a damn at this point. But I asked why didn't he send meeting cancelled email so I didn't have to panic on a friday late night. He casually says "Sorry about that". That's the last I hear of him. No response after that. 

All this after going through 8 rounds of interviews and a take home assignment. All because this a--hole recruiter lied to my face and couldn't send a simple email. 

Funny thing is: Another recruiter reached out to me 3 months later for the same role. Apparently the candidate they hired instead of me backed out at the last miniute. 🤣

If you get a chance to interview at AccelData, trust me, please don't waste your time. The company and the recruiting practises are not worth your time, even if you are jobless.

Hi folks, i am starting this thread to compile iOS interviews experience at various companies. This can help anyone who is preparing. Please share your experiences along with company names

I needed some help in coming up with a study plan to specifically train for Google's interview process. I currently have 4yoe, so I think the interviews will be for SDE2 role. There will be 3 DSA rounds, 1 Googleyness, and 1 Leadership round. I already have experience in DSA and have solved most of Neetcode 150 (except DP, Bit Manipulation, and some hard problems). If any of you have given Google (or any FAANG) interview before, I would love to get some guidance on how to prepare in 30 days. I already know most of the common algorithms like DFS, BFS, Sliding window, Binary search, etc so I won't have to start from scratch.

Also, the recruiter mentioned that I will have only 45 mins to solve two questions: mostly 1 hard and 1 medium. So I basically have around 20 mins per problem, which I feel is very difficult to solve a Leetcode Hard problem unless you have seen it before. Did I misunderstand the recruiter? Are there any tips on how to get good at this?
