Should I give interview when I know I won't join them ?

I have got a full time job offer (SDE 1) from a startup who are offering good pay and wfh.

But I was uncertain whether I'll get this offer or not so reached out to another startup and after screening they have scheduled technical interviews. They are offering the same pay and wfo in Bangalore.

I've accepted the offer from 1st company by considering multiple factors like product, wlb, culture, growth, etc. So now should I appear for interviews in the 2nd company or I should tell them beforehand ? I feel it will be a waste of time for that company and it'll be hard for me to tell no in the end as they told their offer and benefits beforehand, and I had reached out to them with interest.

What should I do ?

If you've time, give the interview. It'll be good practice.

I know the recruiter personally, so I feel it will be harsh to go through all stages and then tell no. This is the only confusion for me

If you are not interested to join and happy with your current job. Why waste your time and the other person?

Rather, give this opportunity to someone who's need of it. If you don't need it and don't get into interviewing, there are chances that others who are genuinely looking for a job actually get a chance to Interview and potentially get the opportunity.

If you would not be joining one of the companies, would you be kind enough to refer a friend of mine who is also looking for opportunities as an SDE 1? Terrific profile, international internships at leading startups, great CP profile. Thanks in advance 🙏

Is the second recruiter aware about the first job offer ? If no, you have leverage right there.

They don't know, I got the offer after phone screening from 2nd company, where they had asked if I have any offer, but I didn't have at that time.

If you got the offer and rolled out the process so tell 2nd recruiter ASAP so that they can give chance to other needies.

Rejecting an offer after accepting it

I recently got a decent offer. Recruiter asked me whether I want to wait for other potential offers before signing but I decided to sign as I thought that the market is bad and I might not get another offer.

Later I realised that I was ...
