Swiggy joining
I (23 grad) working with a service based company, around 5 months exp, got an offer from Swiggy for a contract role. Is it worth joining Swiggy right now amidst all the recession and layoffs chaos?
I’m about to get an offer from Swiggy. Cleared all rounds for a subsidiary in Supply chain.
I’m scared of losing a SAFE job with no learnings (Jio) and going for the gamble where I learn a ton at the risk of losing my job.

Swiggy laid off majorly in tech and cc side. If it’s some other org, you can consider joining. If it’s tech, you may need to think twice.
Yes, risk is there but think of it as a High Risk, High Reward. Maybe try reaching out to few employees on LinkedIn and get their feedback. You can then carefully evaluate whether it’s worth joining or not.

From Biz team pov, the org is a good place to be in. Taking away recent negativity, if you perform well then more opportunities will open up internally/externally.
Also culture has a high bar for performance/ownership and it's not as negative as what you see above.
People with high performance and ownership were kicked out a few days ago.
Please don't misguide.
There has been close to no hikes in last 2 years and culture is pretty bad at present.
