Should I resign?
I hate what I’m doing rn. It isn’t interesting, and it consumes most of my day. I travel almost 30km every day to go to the Client’s office, and by the time I get home, I’m beaten and dead tired. I want to get into a Full Stack/Backend role. But, I don’t have any time to grind DSA, or work on any side projects, or even my passion projects. I’m seriously considering resigning, and putting my head down and grinding it out for a few months to give myself a better chance to switch. What do you folks think? Should I put in my papers?
Stop working, squeeze that last bit of money, grind while they figure what to do with you.

Quitting is better than getting fired tbh, especially if new employer checks with old one for review
Seems unprofessional to do that. Maybe that’s because even though the work isn’t my cup of tea, my manager and most of my colleagues are actually pleasant people.
1. Stop doing side projects until you have lansded a job where you are happy at. In long term personal projects don’t matter.
2. Leetcode ruthlessly your way into a product company where engineers enjoy wlb. Resign when you have a offer letter in your email inbox.
3. Restart your side projects, this time think about making side projects only for making money (either the product makes you money or you can flip it on acquire.com) and not to learn anything, please 🙏.

Wat
If you don't have any responsibilities, quit. Take a break. Study and find a better job.
I don’t. I luckily don’t have bills to pay, as I live at home with family. But, I’m worried that once the cash stops coming in every month, it might be a while before restarting. Might be an unreasonable worry, but it is a worry nonetheless.
It is an unreasonable worry. You actually have a great situation. Most people have to support their families. But hey, you do you.
