Starting to feel Shark tank is fake.

I think the shark tank is fake. Why would people sell 2% or 5% of their company for a few laks or 1 crore?. I don't understand. In S3 they are talking about royalty. I have worked with a few such royalty cases. Most of the time royalty is paid only when there is a tech transfer or some sort of IP which is clearly linked to the sales generated. Why would I pay an investor royalty when there is no clarity or measurable transfer of material benefits?. Some of them are already making profits. The money they raised is just a quarterly profit. Why would I sell a good stake for funds that will not even help me expand within the state? In S1 ashneer would make a comment - "no one is going to help you. You are responsible for making your business". I totally agree with than statement. Having worked with a few investors, I can say they don't help much beyond asking for status. They are making a fool of us.
