Just a random thought which popped in my mind that when you say online classes most people tend to feel uneasy due to how online classes were conducted by our traditional schools / colleges which to be very honest the faculties are technologically challenged and lack the tools or knowledge to conduct them. It was just a joke tbh. 

Now however people have that idea of online education in mind which means they are completely against online education and EdTech even though these are companies who have the knowledge and technology to conduct them well and are made for online education. 

How can we fix this mess and do you think EdTech will survive as an industry or become obsolete in India ?

Do you think traditional schools / colleges shifting to online mode during COVID messed up the EdTech space ?

I’m really curious to know what exactly the Marketing Team does cause in the previous two organisations that I worked at , The Marketing Dept was kinda meh. So I wanted to know if it’s the case everywhere or does an actual good Marketing Team exist as the ones I’ve interacted with their lead generation and marketing was trash.

Graphy has forced a 30% salary cut on each employee to achieve profitability this year. This cut will be applicable from February onwards until 7-8 months. 

Truly a sad time for the Edtech ecosystem.

We are moving in a solid direction as per the vision in our Ed-tech startup all driven by AI.

Apart from placement assistance/guarantee, what exactly is something that EdTech companies in the upskilling/higher education space (Scaler, UpGrad, etc.) solving that can’t be solved by free material available?

P.S. Not a rant. I’m genuinely trying to understand what drives people to pay such hefty amounts to these EdTech companies. Maybe someone in the industry can help with this.

What's the future of Edtech in India? Kids are back to school, why would anyone want to use such apps?

Edtech is dead, agreed. But we haven't reached the quality of output which is expected from education in India. We don't have quality outputs, most youngsters are unemployed and this change has to start from education. 

Byju, UA or Vedantu are the highest valued edtechs but they are not the face of what an education company should be like in a country like India. Let's leave them to the karma of their shortcomings and cheating. 

On a serious note trying to understand how we can use amalgamation of tech and education to get the desired result.

Most Edtech startups seem to be providing very little value, and are pure sales machines. Learning is super important, and I’m beginning to realise I’ve not done any structured online learning in the longest times (Coursera early days, Bucky Roberts on YouTube etc.)
