Knowing that this role is somewhat new in the job market, not many people still know a lot about it. Shoot your questions, would answer them to the best of my capacity. Asking for a friend. They are a recruiter at a top startup but their salary has increased only 30% in the last 3 years. Joined the company out of campus and has been in TA for 2.5 years now at the same company. They mentioned that they're at 6.5LPA now. Wanted to know how the numbers are for someone in good startups (Series B to Series F) in Talent teams. This person has worked on mid-level and leadership hiring along with handling talent branding projects.

I have 6 years experience. My current base/fixed is 60 LPA. (I also got a 5 lakh bonus and 5 lakh of my ESOPs vested this year making my total vested about 30 lakh. So the total comp is 70). I'm being offered a senior engineer position in an early stage startup (as part of the founding engineer team). They haven't given an offer yet. Being early stage, the emphasis will most likely be on ESOPs. How do I evaluate this and set my expectations? (If I were to switch to a mature company, I believe the hikes usually are between 15-20%? How does this work for early stage startups?)

I am a Product Designer at an Edtech Startup (raising 20m Series B soon) with almost a year (1) of full time experience but overall almost 3 (including internships) at some great companies. As I am looking for a change what salary should I expect? Considering:- - I have a design degree from a Non-IIT/Non-NID Tier 1 University (known for good engineers) [so good foundation hopefully] - The companies I have interned at range from Japanese MNC/Conglomerate, Indian Fashion focused E-Commerce Giant, Indian Food Tech/Delivery Giant & an Indian Digital Transformation Giant. - The average stipend I earned at these companies was around 40K/month. - The salary I earn right now every month is between 70 - 90K - I believe I have Got good Product focused UX knowledge. [Part of the Product team not a seperate Design Team] - Not another Figma/Framer drooling Designer. - Many of my peers from my alma mater are placed in Big Tech or Desi Giants owned by Foreign Giants So what salary should I be expecting? (Keeping aside the ESOP/RSU part) Is ~ 1.25L/month in hand is right ask? Please suggest.

I see a lot of people think here that a 3-5 year experience candidate has a right to demand 40-50 lakhs pay. Is it really the trend now? Am I unaware? I see pay range in 6figr & other websites but don't see the pay scale of 40-50 very often except for full funded startups, MBBs. What is the reality of pay range by professions for exp 3-5 years?
