FRM is just for risk, good for certification but not for ML. But you can easily clear it and will compliment ML for finance.
ML is pretty new and evolving, so even if you know good enough to clear interviews, they won't mind your lack of certification. Aim to learn things here and put some keywords into your CV to get shortlisted. That's an ML assignment in itself, reverse engineering their shortlisting Algo!!
All retail finance jobs like payments, lending, even actuaries in Insurances look have Data science openings. Even some trading desks need Quants which might just shortlist.
