Suggestion for switch

I joined tcs as fresher in dec 2021 with 3.36LPA. i was on bench for 1year later in feb 2023 got a call from a manager for allocation. She told me my role will be shell script developer. I accepted to join the project and later came to know it is a legacy project in which there is no development from 5 years. I have gained little knowledge in my project on linux, apache installation, apache oidc module authentication, weblogic , and sql. By this dec i will be having 3years of experience and i couldn't justify myself what i have done. I cleared wings 1 digital exam in this may cycle and currently ctc is 8LPA ( incentives depends on appraisal band ). I am interested in front end so i learnt mysql and html/css and currently learning ReactJS. Should i continue learning React and complete some projects like cloning websites. What are the chances for switch with the react knowledge for a 3 years exp. should i continue my learning try switch on React or switch with apache, linux and weblogic knowledge? Please add your thoughts on this...

There is a huge demand for React.js developers(if you actually know things). But companies hiring for a specific domain(in your case frontend) look for people with experience in that domain. So I would suggest you will have to get into a project which uses react.js or get so strong in react.js by creating good production ready projects. One more personal suggestion would be that if you are open to learning new tech then pick something that is not being picked by the masses and has a huge potential in future. My personal picks would be Java + Springboot OR Golang. Rest up to you. All the best!

Thinking to switch.

I’m an Entry Level engineer having 1.7 years of experience in a WITCH company, mostly working on Spring, AWS, Core Java backend stack. I’m looking to switch to a better company for my growth as I don’t find any opportunities here and the learning has been very slow. I’m currently learning frontend (Angular) and K8s. Have tried giving my resumé to multiple companies everywhere but no luck. Is it very hard for someone having backend experience of 1.7 years to switch?

Hi guys, Got selected for react role in service based company. The hr said he will be rolling out the offer Already have an offer Capgemini 8lpa Another offer from startup 7.8lpa Photon maximum 8lpa they can give if I don't join photon after accepting offer letter they said to pay 10% of offered CTC. Is it normal? also said me to forward the Capgemini and startup company offer letter to them. Current role in tcs: process associate and designation is bpo2. Offered roles are developer.

I have 2.5+ YOE on .NET in Accenture as backend developer. But I want to switch to React and Java full stack role. I can fake react experience as I'm decent and confident on the frontend. But how do I grab a Java backend role, as I don't have any experience in it? I don't want to apply for a frontend only role, as I'm genuinely interested in Fullstack. Please suggest.
